The Japanese have long been praised for their technical prowess in all games Smash, and it shows. More specifically, they tend to exploit lesser-used characters to their full potential and show us what they are truly capable of. Youtuber "女神管理人" does this with Link in his combo video, while pulling off some unbelievable stuff in the process.

This weekend, from August 26th to 28th, “Shine” will see its series debut in Boston, MA. Over 1600 players from all over the country will meet in Southern Boston to compete in Super Smash Bros., Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Wii U. The Melee competition is looking fierce, with juggernauts such as Joseph “Mang0” Marquez, Juan “Hungrybox” Debiedma and Jason “Mew2King” Zimmerman in attendance among a cohort of other Top 100 players. Who do you think has the best odds of winning going into it?

This editorial is in regards to The Big House 6 and how Fendrick "Fendy" Lamar intends to take care of the commentators at the event. What we have in front of us is a sloppy step in the right direction for the future of Super Smash Bros. as a competitive eSport. It has plenty of problems however, and that's more of a matter of logistics and experience that comes from a different set of skills than what has carried the Smash scene forward for years.

The XXXI Olympic Games at Rio de Janeiro came to a close last Sunday, and with it began the countdown to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. This year’s Olympics featured a somewhat unorthodox event: the Olympic eGames.

This “side-event” was just a showcase event, featuring Smite and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. The eGames is aiming to become a full, all-around event with several other games at the next Olympic Games at Tokyo.
