I have to admit, Banjo’s Smash moveset really does feel like it was made in the Melee era, which may be the reason he’s my second favourite DLC behind Steve.

While the ideal solution would be balancing out the gross-out and strongman sides of Wario, I honestly wouldn’t be opposed to Land Wario getting his own slot separate from Ware. On one hand I feel Wario’s moveset is absolutely perfect and a solid portrayal of the character, but on the other I do wish Land got some more representation. VB and 4 are some of the most solid platformers ever put to code.

That Cuphead styled Smash art challenge has made me realise that Duck Hunt’s characterisation in SSBU must’ve been at least slightly inspired by Feed the Kitty.

Minecraft Earth has a track in Smash, which I guess makes it, Looksley’s Line Up, and Saru Band tied for first game represented in Smash to become legally inaccessible.
Is it just me or are CPUs way better on custom stages?
I’ve not actually made a game yet so maybe this philosophy will blow up in my face, but my approach to game design is “don’t be afraid to be seen as backwards”. I want to make retro games today, not today’s retro games. -
