    hello people of smashboards. I have found what I believe to be undiscovered tech. if you press jump and grab at the same time you will do a nair. I can not think of any uses for it. if you have any please tell.

    Makes sense.

    When you press the grab button, the game reads it as an attack input combined with a shield input.

    Hitting grab and jump at the same time is like pressing jump, shield and attack all at once. You can't shield during a jumpsquat but you can buffer an attack.

    So I had another problem with my local scene, so there was a local coming up but I didn't have much information so I said "as long as its not vaccination required I plan to go" then they said if your not vaccinated your dumb, and then everyone teamed up against me even Skittles joined in, I'm a nice guy no one ever has problems with me but my local community just seems to hate me

    Bear in mind that he's 15 and is just now starting to get into a local competitive scene. Whatever his stance is on the matter, he shouldn't be discouraged from doing something he wants to do (partake in a scene playing his favourite game).

    That's all that matters here, unless they specifically require him to vaccinate.

    Champion of Hyrule Champion of Hyrule How exactly is bullying people over their vaccination status productive in the least? If you're vaccinated then you're protected from the worst of COVID. If you aren't then you've made the choice to assume any risks from not getting vaccinated. So what exactly is the problem here that makes it ok for local cliques to bully teenagers over?

    I don't get why vaccinated people who got the vaccine on the premise that they would be protected are this fanatic over other people making their own medical choices. Either the vaccine does work or it doesn't. If you are protected then there isn't anything to worry about and other people should be allowed to make their own choices without strangers butting in.

    It sounds to me like Skittles and everyone else there are complete asses if they're going to gang up on someone over political disagreements.

    I know it sounds like a one sided story, that's how weird it was. If it was vaccination required I wasn't going to give a crap or be a Karen about it, I just wanted to play smash offline, I didn't even say why I wasn't going to get vaccinated. I'm perfectly fine with people nicely recommending the vaccine, also why should you be laughed and ridiculed for an opinion, which I said nothing about people should try to correct not witch hunt.

    Day 2 of learning Marth: jumped to about 6-7 mil GSP today, my combos are looking nice ngl, you can feel the remnants of how good he was in games past, its so fun playing heavies, I lost about 3 matches, and played about 25, hitting more tippers and feel my spacing getting better.

    Day 1 of learning Marth: Mostly just played online to get a feel for the character, once I learned to calm my play down I didn't lose a match, he was one of my lowest characters in terms of GSP now he's in the top 15, hoping to get elite smash this week, we'll see if that happens. He does feel weaker than Lucina but he feels much more rewarding, I feel like I am getting the hang of where the tipper hit boxes are.

    I respect Marth players a lot more. They're just really cool to look at. Look at every Marth clip. It's lit.

    Played in my first local today, went 1-2 but I was told the bracket was stacked, I lost to a top 5 and top 15 player, took the top 5 player Hot Dog Knight, to last stock and would have taken a game if he didn't miraculously survived, top 15 player played banjo and beat me pretty badly, I had an amazing time and am sad ill have to wait until August to go again.

    I'm confused, wouldn't gay people not want there to be pride month? Like I would just want to be treated normally not have a month, like I bet that if you tell someone that your gay they treat you differently.

    What I always did was to take my console tablet so I could play whenever I wanted to, and maybe a chance to play others. It didn't seem to be much of a "thing" when I went to the U.S, but you might be able to play more friendlies if monitors are taken.

    Offline events are really fun. I went to my first one at 13. Definitely felt like a fish out of water, but as I started to play friendlies I felt way more comfortable. I swear I was starting to get good but then Covid hit and ruined all my progress.
    For your first local definitely try to watch some videos to prepare. Not just so you know what to do so you don't embarrass yourself but it also helps to have an image of what's gonna go down so that you're not anxious.
    Oz o: Oz o: It's definitely a thing in Kentucky, I see people playing their Switch portable all the time. But I've never seen someone play freindlies like that, usually their just warming their hands or playing a different game entirely.

    My local smash scene told me not to show up to a tournament unless vaccinated, see if it was a rule at the tournament that's fine, but its not. They said they wouldn't play friendlies with me unless I was vaccinated

    Today I asked where a local was on my states smash discord, they told me to look at Facebook, I said I don't have an account and the group is private, they told me to get an account. I said I didn't want to, then I got flamed.

    Today there was a stray cat outside and it was very friendly and we pet it. Then we left for my grandma's and stayed for a couple hours come home and there it is. We have our neighbor come over and she pulls a tick off its head. Then we let it inside, we put our dogs in a different room though. Then we put it outside, and its at the door meowing and its been doing this for an hour I feel awful and wish we didn't let it in.

    I almost did something grimey in a tournament I played in today, I tried to say they had the wrong rule set when they were 7 minutes instead of 8. Then I checked myself and just forfeit. I still can't believe I did that. Its just so sad I was that desperate to win.

    Its really sad I won't be able to go to any tournaments as I'm too young to be vaccinated and I'm really thinking about leaving the community. I understand why its like this but I don't think its fair to the younger players in the community.

    You still could play competitive Smash online until this COVID thing kicks over or until you're old enough to get the vaccine.

    Yeah thats what ill have to do, the chances of me getting really sick from the vaccine is extremely high so even if I was old enough I wouldn't get it.

    Won a tournament at my church today, wasn't streamed sadly. I feel so happy, and like everything is paying off. Won a baby toy dino, some cereal, and a 20$ game stop gift card.

    Gambling is not a sin at all. Sin is disobedience to God, Who speaks to each and every one of us on a personal level. It is a sin if you are sincerely convinced that it is wrong because He told you, and you do it. The mission was, is, and always will be to free humanity from the shackles; not to impose new ones. You are FREE if you desire to be. That said, gambling as a lifestyle is imprudent, as it endangers yourself, and possibly those you care about. There is actually much to be said on this, but the simple end is that gambling does not equate to disobedience to God unless you are convicted against it, which happens when you know that God desires for you to trust in Him.

    That is slightly off-topic, but I felt compelled to say it. Congratulations, Goomboi Goomboi .

    Guys Im scared, my 1980s furby just woke up. Wouldn't be a problem, but he has a condition where you need to turn him upside down, and push his tongue down, then put him right way up and stop holding his tongue down. I am the only one who knows how to do this. Halp its 1 in the morning here.

    Sounds like your furby is possessed lol! I had a episode with one of my old toys awhile back. So I went to upstairs to my parents' apartment to look for something I can't really remember what I was doing. My old Rescue Rangers space ship came on by itself and it scared the **** out of me as at that moment, I haven't even touched it for over a decade. It was very creepy it came on by itself.

    And that's not the only episode I have had in the apartment as one time the sink came on in the kitchen by itself I was in the living room alone up there at the moment and I quickly rush to the kitchen to see who's there and before I even make it the sink turns off. I turn around in the kitchen and I see no one there.

    The rest of my family has had weird creepy episodes alone up there as well so I think that apartment is cursed or haunted.

    I was more saying that its everyones job to take care of earth as I've heard people say stuff about the Left being big into caring for the environment, and that your political party shouldn't make people judge whether your religious or not. Not all Republicans are religious, nor is every Democrat an atheist.

    And while I won't say their names to start a flame war, I have heard a couple of users here bring up religious people like Christians in their political posts putting those people in the same group as all Conservatives which I would disagree with. And I have even heard one user say he was all against organized religion which I find pretty messed up. It's fine if you don't want to be religious, but if you're against other people who do want to be religious there is something wrong with you. People have the right to believe if there is a God or not.
