This game really seems to be taking a "plot first" approach, and it kinda worries me. The DTL games are generally more known and remembered for their plots than gameplay, but they still had mostly solid platforming. This just looks like a single player reskin of a previous Digital Continue game, JumpStream - and it doesn't even have that much drawing.
I kinda worry indie revivals of dormant franchises owned by bigger studios that are just reskins will become a trend. I don't want to get all hyped up for Gex 4 or something only to be greeted with Whipseey and the Lost Atlas Deluxe.

A few days ago I caught a recent episode of the Simpsons on TV. Just my "luck", it was the "SJWs at Yale" episode. The episode was about feminist robots that are ultimately defeated by Homer putting on a cardboard robot mask, causing them to be offended by the "botface" to the point of malfunctioning. I can't make this up. Please Disney, put this show out of its misery.

One of the most interesting examples of a licensed game becoming more famous than the source material is probably Sitting Ducks. Began as an art piece, became a book, then a cartoon, then a game - but it seems the game is more famous (or at the very least more remembered/liked) than the cartoon, which is more famous than the book, which is more famous than the art piece.

It's hilarious to me that another word for chibi anime characters is "super deformed". It's just such a morbid term.
I never got the idea of "aging with the audience". I personally prefer the idea of passing down a beloved franchise to the next generation. Not to mention that if you can only take a franchise seriously as an adult if it becomes more (openly) "mature" you were never a fan in the first place all things considered.
I hate how if Windows updates overnight it also leaves your laptop on (instead of sleep mode) once it's done.

I love going to the Villains Wiki and seeing what absurd descriptions they give for innocuous comedy villains in the "Categories" tab. Robbie Rotten is described as a brainwashing, animal abusing, immortal, and vengeful bond destroyer for example.

Just saw the terrible Immortals trailer with Adventure Time. If I was in Ubisoft's shoes I'd have the CN cross-promotion be with Whatever Happened to Robot Jones, less to stir up interest in the game and more to give CN a reason to release Robot Jones on DVD. -
