I had a dream where Disney posted a weirdly profound Tweet among the lines of "ever noticed how different Donald Duck can be from cartoon to cartoon, and how not every Donald Duck cartoon is reflected in fan art? Isn't it wonderful that everyone grew up with their own Donald Duck?" and all the responses were these weird memes meant to portray corporate social media interns by mashing up random characters - one being a Black Mage with boxing gloves and a Simpsons character's face, and another being The Hulk with Moose A. Moose's head (green torso, yellow head) - with captions like "Arby's Work! Momo Kill!"

My planned Duck Hunt stage for EAC is really weird and, if it were in a real Smash game, could be interpreted as a little self-deprecating. It's also a concept I previously used on Expand a Franchise, albeit for a different character. It's also a second stage for a franchise without a fighter, just like Concert Hall (technically) was.

For Cloud and Sephiroth in EAC, I'll probably allow submitting 14 alts instead of 15, since while they do have the Sonic/Pac-Man syndrome, they also both have a model swap each (technically 2 in Cloud's case, but the second one on him is just plain insignificant)

Melee is filled with some wonderfully bizarre, archaic things that would - for better or worse (mostly the latter) - never fly in a Nintendo game today, both on a competitive and casual level, but my favourite is easily Meowth's trophy being based on a random anime closing credits song that was only used for 25 episodes.

I'm not sure if the combination of 1. there being nearly 100 newcomers here, and 2. all of them being echoes would increase or decrease discourse. Like, on one hand, not getting your character in when there's over 80 newcomers has gotta sting (especially if you wanted, or would be content with, them as an echo in the first place), but on the other, getting your character in when there's over 80 newcomers probably feels a lot less special. Also Sanic.

I don't get why people are calling Pizza Tower a hard game? It's honestly almost as easy as a Kirby or Yoshi game to any% - the only stages I ever timed out on were Oh ****! and War, even Crumbling Tower of Pizza was a first try for me.

Then again, I also thought Crash 4 was easy, so take my opinions with a grain of salt.

I like that Nintendo went out of their way to announce the Japanese rename of Foreman Spike on Twitter instead of just dropping a new game and expecting fans to figure it out on their own. A type of transparency that, while small even for Japanese AAA studio standards, is very appreciated from Nintendo.
