If Mario RPGs (and by extension, Sonic Chronicles) exists, why there are no platformer spin-offs for Final Fantasy or any RPG franchise?

I've honestly always thought a cool potential platformer could be one focusing on like a classic Black Mage, with the gimmick that you can learn different spells and spell variants the further you get into the game and could then do stuff with them loosely akin to the Mega Man series' special weapons.

That said, I think it's moreso that RPG franchises don't lend as well to platformers as platformer franchises can lend to RPGs.
