Hey, we get it. However this website is run by and for the community... and it needs ads in order to keep running.

Even if someone's on an NSFW site it should be illegal to show explicit content in adds. If I randomly send someone inappropriate pictures or videos it would be considered sexual harassment so why is it okay when advertisers do it?
A licensed game based on a kids (or at least teens) property surpassed marvel vs capcom so it would be funny if it happened again but with smash ultimate
It's a creation thread about a cartoon/anime smash bros, how cool is that? It hasn't gone through too many jobs yet so this is a great time to jump in. I highly reccomend joining it!
People who say things like “Banjo Kazooie and Steve got into smash before master chief because master chief isn’t allowed in the game” are making a lot of stupid assumptions
I don't like it when crossovers, especially game crossovers, make a character who has never had a voice talk. This even includes characters who have said one or two lines in a voice but predominantly talk with just text boxes. And yes, this includes Phoenix Wright's depiction in UMvC3
Cases of the mandela effect are actually pretty interesting, they've just been completely ruined by idiots who think they moved to a completely different universe because they don't know how to spell a meaningless brand name
Don’t get me wrong, I’m grateful for Everyone is Here and glad it happened, but it kinda makes it so that I don’t really have much incentive to go back to earlier entries in the smash bros series
I’m not really a big fan of when superhero movies (especially modern marvel movies) take an established villain and give their name to a pretty much completely different character with a different motivation. Like what happened with ghost from ant man and the wasp, or flagsmasher from falcon and the winter soldier or
Taskmaster in black widow
Because it means the villain only really get adapted in name/costume which can be alienating for fans of the villains, and makes them dislike a character who could probably be a good character otherwise. Just to be clear this isn’t me saying villains have to be 100% like the comics (because honestly comic book purists like they are a little annoying) so for example, someone like Thanos, I’m fine with the change in motivation because it still keeps him interesting and good. What I’m talking about is when there’s a character who has almost nothing to do with a villain and it feels like they “assign” them the name and general role of an established villain to get more people interested in them. But really if their personality is good and motivations are interesting, people will like them regardless of if they were in the comics or not.
also I just wanna say this has nothing to do with the fact that they happened to have made those villains female.
I know Ghost and Flagsmasher might not have been very iconic and popular marvel villains but the thing is… Taskmaster is. I know we might still get another Taskmaster that’s more faithful to the comics but still I’m a little disappointed that’s how the character was handled and I hope it doesn’t happen with other iconic marvel villains
Today’s my birthday. I got Pikmin 3 and Shovel Knight Treasure Trove which are both games I’ve been meaning to get for a while now, and some other stuff. I’ll also save up some of the money I got to buy Great Ace Attorney when that comes out. Soon I’ll go out with friends and then I’m gonna watch Black Widow. That’ll be fun since it’s the first movie in theatres I’ll see after the pandemic. Overall I’m excited.
Do manufacturers get at least a little embarrassed over the fact that hardware made 30 to 20 years ago consistently manages to be better lasting and more durable than their recent consoles
**** any place that puts a price on literal life saving medicine that some people would die and sometimes have died without. The fact that this is seen as normal is disgusting.
I’ve never really been interested in the smash infinite thread because honestly the amount of things they added is ridiculous, completely unreasonable and way past a “realistic” amount of content that could get into a potential smash sequel
I’m not saying creation threads have to be 100% realistic but I personally think people should at least try to make it a little reasonable like it could actually happen
Apparently there are “scary story tiktok compilations” and they’re actually pretty insensitive because the compilations have some videos about actual stories of real serial killers or abuse victims alongside stories that are comically bad and obviously fake
people complain about smash not having music tracks from minecraft that are from the actual main game, but I kinda feel like halland / dalarna was a good enough "comprimise." It's not only hype and fits well, but it also captures a bit of the same feeling as the classic minecraft tracks everyone knows and sorta sounds like they just sped up a classic music track.
i still do think they should have included sweden or something tho
I’ve always liked the metal gear solid series and those iceberg videos but I honestly didn’t really like meti not the bad guy’s metal gear solid iceberg. The channel just doesn’t really seem to be fit for making icebergs.
I know people have stopped taking about this years ago but seriously let’s get rid of plastic straws AND paper straws and just start drinking fast food drinks how we drink literally every other thing.
It’s funny how there are both a lot of people who call Majora’s Mask the black sheep of the franchise and alot of people who call Link’s Awakening the black sheep of the franchise. If there are two different games you could accurately call black sheep… then they’re not black sheep
Ike is probably the character I almost forget is on the smash bros roster the most. He's in a weird spot where he's not recognizable enough to be very memorable but also not weird or obscure enough for me to remember that he's in smash. He's also fairly forgotten even within the fire emblem series.
And yes, this is despite the fact that I literally used to main him in Smash 4.
We’re starting to get memes like the mushroom wojak guy and the vin diesel family template where the “comes out, gets overused, gets discarded” cycle literally happens in like one day
I made a creation thread for a Fighter’s Pass 3. The whole “gimmick” with the thread is that it’ll be relatively short compared to other creation threads and I’m calling it a “mini-creation thread” If that interests you, please check it out!
For a while now, ideas for a potential third fighter’s pass have been on a lot of people’s minds but unfortunately it seems like we probably aren’t gonna be getting one any time soon. That’s why I feel like it would be fun to make a creation thread to decide what would happen if this pass did...
I feel like it’s a little suspicious we haven’t gotten any Capcom characters in the fighters pass yet. All things considered there could be a good chance the last character will be one.
This might be wishful thinking, but I feel like since Dante is deconfirmed phoenix wright is probably the biggest candidate for another capcom rep, although I suppose a resident evil rep might still be on the table too.
