When did the "usual" reaction to puns become extreme anger? Does anyone actually not like puns or is it just part of the meme? In addition, why are good puns called bad puns? IMO, bad puns usually have nothing to do with the situation at hand or make absolutely no sense.
For example, there was a conversation about a kid swearing, and he said, "sorry, Sonic forces me to swear," despite the fact that the conversation had had nothing to do with Sonic or Sonic Forces. And for another one, there was a glass blowing competition show where one of the judges was talking about a piece and how an aspect of it was kind of cliche and "isn't going to cut it," which she then followed up with "isn't going to cliche it." When those words pretty much sound nothing like eachother. These I feel are really "bad puns."
