I'm up for stuff during that week if people are interested :D

Now I just gotta pre-pay for the tournament...

I recommend taking the SkyBus to the city - I live there and will rendezvous with you no sweat. Too much stuff is planned in the Rocky season so pickups by me (ie. Sam) are difficult.

AVCON in adelaide this july had 410+ entrants for the brawl main tournament, but the bracket was cut down to 256.

of course this was an FFA tournament, but it was a smash tournament nonetheless...

idk... the doubles tournament was serious, only proper stages, no items etc. it was still best of 1 though. 32 teams (could have been like 100 easily) so I guess 64 entrants for the legit tourney

It's all about the quality over the quantity though, Don't Come *****, and a special shoutout to Reloaded 3.

Largest tourneys outside of Smashboards is either the AVCon thing Browny talked about or the Nintendo Superchallenge held in Melbourne in 2004. That held Smash Bros. tournaments simultaneously in several cinemas throughout the city.

Bad news guys. I was retrenched from work yesturday so now I'm unemployed

if I am going to make it to this, which I definately want to, I am going to need hosting as I can't afford to stay anywhere. Probs woul still go down from the Tuesday/Wednesday before the tourney until the following Tuesday for cheap flghts.

Is it possible to get a list of those who are able to host OoSers and how many?

The flat rate cost to enter any Smash Tournament will be $20. Once this has been paid, you may enter any of the following Smash Tournaments:

- SSBB Singles
- SSBB Teams
- SSBB Interstate Crew Battle
- SSBM Singles
- SSBM Teams
- SSBM Interstate Crew Battle

Does this mean that if you pay $20 at the door then you can enter all of these tournaments or is $20 for each tournament (ie $120 for all 6)?

I'll try and be clearer:

- There's a CW venue fee of $20 (pre-paying) or $25 (at the door) that goes towards the venue and the growth of the organization.
- Then there is a flat $20 Smash pot fee. You pay this only once and you can enter any Smash Tournament you like.

The maximum you'll end up paying for everything is $40/$45.
