It's because Pink MK isn't appealing, but it is not low tier. It has the best MU numbers against all other characters and MK colors.

Pink MK has the higher curve due to the mental and emotional barrier you have to build up from using such a color.

After losing to Tyrant and DSF at MLG Orlando, I came to an epiphany. I can no longer beat metaknights, or overcome the stage-hindering obstacles upon my character. Also, Diddy Kong requires much tech skill practicing in which I no longer have time for as I am preparing for college and the future.

Why not use both? Keep working on your MK , and use him against worse players. Eventually start throwing him in matches here and there, and work him up slowly in 2nd matches, small tournies, etc and 5-6 months from now try to use him against top players, take your time, keep your diddy in top shape, and then you can use both characters. Im convinced the first person to master two characters in brawl the way people did back in melee with marth/fox, that person will be the best for someee time to come.

think about it, if you had a mK and a diddy, just use diddy on stages like FD, and then when they pick a MK stage go MK. You'll increase ur chances to win soooooo much

False. Jason is human, has patterns and can be defeated. We are not in some anime where someone is so OP its impossible to ever reach his level. This game is all about getting reads and spacing well, and jason is not perfect, nor will he ever be. You may feel its impossible, but you are far from playing at the highest level humanly possible. Even jason is. Nobody here quit school/work only to play brawl on every single day of their lives to get better than jason. So yeah, if you lose to his MK as MK, no johns.

By impossible I think he meant really effing hard... I think most people understand that nobody is actually impossible....

Jason does have patterns and makes mistakes. But he is still on a level that most players are not. Especially in that specific matchup... He has an understanding in the ditto that no other MK can realize at this point and usually stays far ahead of the rest. Catching up to his level when he plays at the rate he does is extremely hard for most people...

You have no way to know how far ahead he is unless you catch him really though. But yeah, tbh if you guys think its effing hard, try when you are basically garanteed to lose on MK cps. This is pretty much the case for falco/diddy/ics. Snake is at a big disadvantage there too(see m2k vs ally on brinstar). So yeah, it might be effing hard, but I do believe its even harder as non-MK.

Beating him in the ditto isn't impossible but I doubt anyone will ever take a set off him. Even if you get enough momentum to take a game off him he has skill "in reserve" and not only does he adapt to your patterns immediately but he'll also play gayer to ensure that the gap between you widens.

Playing him with Snake is a lot easier and less frustrating if you know the matchup.

Even in those animes, there's always somebody that can beat the person. like in kenshin, he's got his soujiro seta, except soujiro loses his cool. Lesson: don't lose your cool and you can do it

whaaaat, what you usually see in fantasy is someone incredibly OP eventually getting taken down by someone that was weaker, IRL skill is a much more static thing IMO, especially with a game like brawl lol

Why even bother maining 2 characters.


To beat MK on stupid CPs is the same as beating him on neutrals as MK, so why bother learning 2 different chars when you can use the 1 character that is garanteed an even matchup everywhere with him? I really don't see the point in maining both diddy and MK when diddy has such a high learning curve and MK such a low one.

You guys the only issue is that M2K already identified and took advantage of the best strategy for brawl and most other fighting games. Learn the best character in the game and then learn the ditto and let ur character advantage carry u through inexperience of MUs.
