You know what sucks in an RPG? When they permanently kill off one of your party members, and you realize you’ve been too focused on them, like you put your best equipment on them or spent hours level grinding them for nothing. And you realize you’ve mostly been ignoring your other party members like a jackass.

On the bright side, they’ll get replaced with a new party member who’s just as good. Of course, you may have to level them up.

You know what’s one thing I really love about Final Fantasy X? It basically tells the story of a young man who gets trapped in a world that he knows nothing about, and he’s on a soul searching journey about his hatred for his father. It's brilliant.

That, and the soundtrack is awesome.

So, as you may have heard, Konami has announced a remake of Silent Hill 2, and it honestly looks pretty good. However, the dev team they chose for this was… Bloober Team, which I did NOT hear good things about. As they would say in Star Wars, I've got a bad feeling about this.

Unless Bloober Team can prove themselves somehow, we might be in trouble… And when I say "we", I mean Silent Hill fans.

Games have changed over the years - this much is true, and I love a game with a good story as much as anybody would - whether the story is simple and straightforward or complex and convoluted - but I think we need more arcade-style games. Especially in terms of gameplay and presentation.
