  • I just noticed something about UMK3. For some of the male characters, their fatality screams don’t match their voices. Or maybe it’s the other way around.
Unfortunately, Assist Trophies DO deconfirm characters. RIP Waluigi, but we kinda knew it was too good to be true. Maybe someday, as unlikely as it may seem, Waluigi might actually get his own game…

I’m thinking Smash Ultimate definitely IS the last Smash game, but maybe they might make a new one, just without Sakurai. And maybe… Just maybe… Well, let’s not get our hopes up.

Just another imaginary rule that can be broken in the future like all the others and I'll look forward to that day.

Not like a character ever had to be relevant to their series anyway or have their own game. Irrelevant meme characters have always been allowed in.

DrCoeloCephalo DrCoeloCephalo Sorry for being a Debbie Downer. I hope people still have faith for Waluigi. Just a little bit of hope.
Which Nintendo 64 games and SEGA Genesis would you guys like to see added for the upcoming Expansion Pack for Nintendo Switch Online?

If Capcom were to make a Darkstalkers reboot, I think it should have both Japanese and English voice acting, and I think two good picks for English voice directors would be Taliesin Jaffe and Jonathan Klein (New Generation Pictures). But which voice actors would be good to voice each character for a Darkstalkers reboot?

    Let's see...

-Kellen Goff as John Talbain. Dude can nail that bestial feel in one's voice, if you've heard his performance as the Father Spider Demon in Demon Slayer.

-Erica Lindbeck as Morrigan. If you've heard her as Jessie in FF7R, you know she could pull off the flirty voice. She could also pull off a mature voice from her performance as Saber of Red in Fate/Apocrypha.

-Keith Silverstein as Dimitri Maximoff. Keith definitely has that sort of charisma in his voice. Zhongli in Genshin Impact, En in Dorohedoro, he has that sort of deep baritone and silky smooth voice that could definitely fit Dimitri.

-Ray Chase as Jedah Dohma. His voice is great. When I think about Jedah Dohma and how he could sound, I imagine an evil Bucciarati, or Lancer of Black if he played up the sinister.

These are the four that stand out on the top of my head.

Erica Lindbeck as Morrigan and Ray Chase as Jedah sound like interesting choices, but I kinda like Siobhan Flynn as Morrigan and David Kaye as Jedah, but the rest of the choices you made sound interesting as well. Imagine Keith as Demitri saying "Come on, baby" when he does his Midnight Bliss on someone.
Do we have any Darkstalkers fans out there? Does anybody want Darkstalkers to be brought back from the dead?

Never played a Darkstalkers game before but I'm somewhat familiar with the characters and story...
I'd totally like to see it come back.
I was bored, so I made this. I hope you get a kick out of it.
    Darkstalkers in a nutshell:

Demitri: This was supposed to be MY franchise. I was supposed to be the protagonist.

Morrigan: Not anymore. I guess the fans love me more, Demitri.

Demitri: But wait. Capcom has never officially declared the TRUE protagonist of the Darkstalkers series, and, unfortunately, I don’t think they’ll be making a new game anytime soon…

Morrigan: Yeah, that's a shame…but I’m in crossovers, and my theme is catchy.

Demitri: Well, so is MY theme.

Morrigan: It is pretty catchy, I’ll give you that, but I think my theme is a bit more memorable. And besides, your Midnight Bliss is a little…questionable sometimes.

Demitri: But it’s one of my most iconic moves!

Morrigan: Remember when Capcom wanted to get you into the MVC series as a character?

Demitri: Yes, but Marvel didn’t want their characters to be hit by Midnight Bliss, even though Capcom insisted on including me and that move.

Demitri: But still, they let a succubus, a half-naked cat lady, and a jiangshi in MVC3, but not ME, a VAMPIRE, which is the name of the Darkstalkers series in Japan?!

    Morrigan: Yep. Pretty much.

Demitri: I hate you so much…

    Morrigan: Love you too, Demitri.

Morrigan: Just be glad you weren’t in MVCI. That game didn’t do as well as we would’ve hoped, and it had me and Jedah in it.

Demitri: I hate that delusional want-to-be vampire even more…

Morrigan: So do I. He’s crazy.
I say this as someone who has never played or even heard of Darkstalkers until Tatsunoko VS Capcom or MVC3/UMVC3. I think we need a Darkstalkers reboot. Come on, Capcom.

I'm pretty sure there are a lot of people that also includes myself who had been long waiting for the Darkstalkers to come back from the dead.

Hopefully Capcom could do something special for the series within its 30th anniversary which will happen in three years time.
You know what's probably sad? I think I understand animals more than I understand people. In fact, I’d rather talk to a horse than an actual person.
Can someone explain to me why there’s constant screaming in Garcian's Trailerhouse in Killer7? At first, people thought it was Samantha...uh...doing terrible things to Harman, but the screams sound NOTHING like Harman. Most of the screams sound like a woman after she inhaled sulfur hexafluoride, which is the opposite of helium. Also, you can hear creepy breathing and crashing. Occasionally, you can hear two different screams. A man screaming in reverse, and a yeehaw. What’s up with that?!

Plus, the screams that sound like a woman with sulfur hexafluoride in her voice? Those are stock sound effects of a woman screaming, but pitched down.
I'm just gonna go out and say it! Mel McMurrin is Calypso and J.S. Gilbert is Sweet Tooth (Needles Kane).
I think what people love most about Twisted Metal: Black, besides the gameplay and the music, especially the fact that they used a Rolling Stones song, are the drivers and their storylines, the realism, and probably the dark, moody, creepy tone and atmosphere.
    Wigglerman

Pretty much. The gameplay was as tight as the franchise had gotten to, the designs of the vehicles were very mad max and fit the grungy vibe going on. The character story arcs were more tragic and not played for yuks (That isn't to say the tongue in cheek monkey's paw-esque endings of the series aren't good or anything, just the tonal shift felt appropriate considering the game's overall theme) and yeah...the music is great to boot. I do wish the game wasn't so dark (light wise) during gameplay itself. Just a little lighter to make things more clear as some maps it could be difficult to really see a lot of things clearly.

Really wish the planned sequel wasn't axed. But, Sony being Sony.

I think Twisted Metal: Harbor City (the cancelled Twisted Metal: Black sequel) had a hack and slash segment where you play as Sweet Tooth (Needles Kane). Maybe there was more than one segment of that.
We haven’t seen a Twisted Metal game since the 2012 PS3 reboot. Although, Twisted Metal: Black was ported to PS4, and the PS1 Twisted Metal games have probably been ported to PS3. Anyway, we’ve been missing a new vehicular combat game for a while. We need more cars and mayhem!

A new Twisted Metal on PS4 or PS5 would be awesome, yes

A new Twisted Metal but without Sony's insufferable restrictions (Which was why Twisted Metal (PS3) was the way it was) would be fantastic, especially if they can get Jaffe back and just let him work his magic instead of being stuffy suits.

I'd also kill for a new Vigilante 8 but...well, Activision. Luxoflux has been down for years (2010). And I doubt any of the folks who made the original duo of games are likely to get a reunion to make their magic happen, if they even 'still got it' with the franchise. Years off the franchise and probably haven't touched a game similar to it in that time...unless new teams for either game have the reverence for either franchise and talent to make something amazing on their own.

Imagine if they got both David Jaffe and Scott Campbell back for a new Twisted Metal game...
I’d like to play the modern Ninja Gaiden trilogy, but I don’t know which versions I should play. I know I should probably play Razor's Edge, but should I play Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden II or Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (Master Collection)?
I think a lot of people might either agree or disagree with me on this one, but I feel like most games these days are missing metal soundtracks. And I’m talking HEAVY METAL.
    ninjahmos

Then again, not a lot of games back then had metal soundtracks either, except maybe Donkey Kong Country, Doom, F-Zero, some 3D Mario games, Duke Nukem, and Twisted Metal.

What we really need more of in games is reggae. I can literally only think of one reggae game song, not even an entire soundtrack. (The flea market song in PaRappa the Rapper)

Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario We DO need more reggae in video games, as well. If it counts, I found this song and its arranged version from Ehrgeiz:
When it comes to music, I think a strings section counts as orchestration, but what about a horns section?
