You know who probably would have made some good light gun representation for Smash? Dr. Don & Dr. Dan from Point Blank. If not at least Spirits, they could have been playable characters with their own stage, and music from the Point Blank series. Maybe even music from Time Crisis.
Here's another minigame idea: A stealth and exploration minigame where you play as a cat burglar and you try to sneak in through a secured museum at night and steal a rare and expensive jewel. You can use your suppressed light gun to destroy lights and surveillance cameras and tranquilize guards. Just try not to shoot any of the artifacts.

I wish Nintendo (and SEGA) would release NES, SNES, N64, Game Boy (including Game Boy Color), Game Boy Advance and SEGA Genesis games on NSO more often. At least once a week or so. There are tons of great games to choose from that people might like to play for the Switch.
I think the art-styles for both of these games would take inspiration from both 80s/90s western animation and 80s/90s anime.
We need rail shooters and light gun shooters to make a comeback.
Here's a minigame idea: A Snatcher/Terminator 2/Silent Scope-style minigame where you play as a private detective and you’re searching among a crowd of people for humanoid androids posing as human beings. If you spot a humanoid android, you can shoot it with your light gun. You’ll get penalized if you shoot any actual civilians.
Someday, I'd like to make my own light gun minigame compilation game inspired by Point Blank and Duck Hunt, and maybe a minigame compilation game inspired by WarioWare, Bishi Bashi, and Puzzle & Action.
Is it just me, or do some of the characters in Animal Crossing seem... passive-aggressive?
You know who probably would have been a good character for Smash? Arthur (Ghosts 'n Goblins). He probably could have gotten his own stage with music from the series (maybe even spin-offs including Gargoyle's Quest and Maximo), including a remix of Haunted Graveyard (Stage 1).
It'll never happen, but what if Nintendo and Konami collaborated with each other and made a crossover between WarioWare and Bishi Bashi?
What are some obscure and/or cult classic games and/or game franchises that you think should make a comeback? I'll start with a few:

You know what seems to be a common theme (or a genre in and of itself) in stories with a modern-day setting? A group of terrorists are holding a bunch of hostages, including the President’s daughter or son, or something like that.
Which is the better minigame compilation game series? Bishi Bashi or WarioWare?
In case you're wondering, Bishi Bashi is made by Konami, and it's basically WarioWare before WarioWare was even a thing, except it pretty much ups the ante on the Japanese quirkiness and insanity. Although, by comparison, WarioWare is more... gross.
We need SEGA to remake and reimagine the Dynamite Deka series as loose adaptations of the Die Hard trilogy in cooperation with 20th Century Games (20th Century Studios), and they should all be co-developed by SEGA AM1 and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. They should get Howard Drossin to do the music and sound effects, and they should get Bruce Willis to reprise his role as John McClane.
Oh, and they should also remake and reimagine Zombie Revenge, the 3D beat 'em up spin off of The House of the Dead, and it should also be co-developed by SEGA AM1 and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.

It'll never happen, but I'm hoping Konami and Kojima will reconcile with each other and port all of the canon Metal Gear games (including VR Missions, Portable Ops, and Metal Gear Rising), and include Snatcher and Policenauts. Imagine if Policenauts got an official English dub, and Snatcher got a NEW English dub, and both dubs would be directed by Kris Zimmerman-Salter. Of course, they could also give us the option to choose between the SEGA CD dub (with fixed audio quality) and the new dub.
I say that it'll never happen, not just because of Konami, Kojima, and Metal Gear specifically, but also because Snatcher and Policenauts are both products of their times. Both games feature mature themes in storytelling that were unheard of in games back then, and some of the themes and humor in both games would probably be considered problematic today.
The Soulsborne games, especially Dark Souls, have always been known for their difficulty. I think they've also been known for being quite unfair. But, then again, I guess games have always been a little unfair.

You know, I find it funny how people didn't want anymore "anime swordfighters" in Smash, and yet, they wanted Dante (and possibly Sora) in Smash. Does this make Smash fans hypocrites?
If I were to become a writer, especially for video games, I think I’d like to (eventually) try my hand at writing intricate storylines, but I don’t wanna turn them all into a bunch of ungodly, overly-convoluted messes.

Anyway, I should probably stick to writing more straightforward stories. For now.
I know a lot of people are tired of remasters and remakes, but in their defense, they're a great way of making games that aren't very accessible ACTUALLY accessible, especially for more than one console (unless the game is an exclusive).

It'll probably never happen, but we need Konami to remaster Castlevania: Lament of Innocence, so that players old and new can experience the (chronologically) true origins of the Belmont bloodline. They should also remaster Contra: Shattered Soldier and Neo Contra.
Apparently, all of the profile pictures on SmashBoards (Oh, wait, I'm sorry, PrattBoards) are now mugshots of Chris Pratt. This should be a fun April Fools.
I love how, in Tekken 8, they had Kazuya's VA, Masanori Shinohara, record new voice lines and grunts, but also kept his voice clips from Tekken 4-onward.
You know what seems to be an age-old tradition in arcade games, especially SEGA arcade games? Cheesy (and often bad) voice acting.
Again, I know this is unlikely to happen, but if SEGA were to remake Project Altered Beast, the announcement/teaser trailer should be a cinematic recreation of this:

What if SEGA brought back some of their racing games, like Outrun, Hang-On, Daytona USA, SEGA Rally, Crazy Taxi, even 18 Wheeler and The King of Route 66?
I’d also like to make my own 3D Platformer/Beat 'Em Up/Hack And Slash game inspired by Ghosts 'n Goblins/Maximo, Shadow of Rome, Splatterhouse, and maybe Jak and Daxter.
We need Naughty Dog to make a new Jak and Daxter game. We also need Sucker Punch to make a new Sly Cooper game and a new inFamous game starring Cole McGrath.
What if Capcom remade Maximo: Ghosts to Glory and Maximo VS Army of Zin, and made a new Maximo game?
They better put Divine Bloodlines in Castlevania: Nocturne. -
