Not gonna happen, but the entire "games-as-a-service" business model. I've yet to see a GaaS game that doesn't come off as a major cashgrab or assume the player is an idiot (unless you count TF2, which doesn't fall into a lot of the trappings modern GaaS games do like in-game currencies and dailies).
Equally improbable dishonorable mention goes to stamina meters. I've played one game ever that has made managing a stamina meter feel fun, and that's Underhero where you can refill your stamina by means other than waiting or consuming limited resources.

But I kind of feel like that doesn't count for what you're asking. As much as Scalpers need to go, game companies have no control over them. Nor do they have any control over the shortage of parts.
