An incredibly specific pet peeve of mine is when you talk about the “charlie and the chocolate factory movie” and someone asks you which one. There’s one Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie and one Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory movie.

This has happened like twice to me I don’t know why I care so much I just do.

I like the idea of the smiling friends go to brazil episode on paper - forgoing pretty much all of the surreal elements in a way that feels more surreal, having it literally just be a single long shot of them arguing in an airport. In practice it was just really boring, like not entertaining to watch at all. Maybe I’d have liked it more if I had experience planning a trip with friends, I dunno.

I really don't think Nintendo should be in project x zone 3 because I think a game like that should release on all consoles. If it does, however I don't think they should get an equal amount of characters as every other company in the game. While they do have a lot of non-cartoony characters it would just feel weird for them to get a ton of characters and have them all be fire emblem, xenoblade and whatever else with no Mario's or most of the thing Nintendo is actually known for. I know Sega's a similar situation but I think that's way different considering the perception of Sega in Japan.

Admittedly it’s been a while since I’ve seen it and I haven’t seen it all but I think the castlevania anime was way too needlessly dark and crude for a predominantly T rated series. Sure it’s fine for them to get dark, that’s inevitable in something like this, but did they really need unfunny jokes about ****ing goats and stuff? It was honestly just really weird.

Last of Us spoilers

The thing I find interesting about the ending of The Last of Us is that Joel pretty much made the objectively wrong decision. Even if the Fireflies couldn’t make a cure, whatever’s happened to Ellie could still have contributed a lot to the scientific effort and basically saved the world. From a moral sense giving her up is just simply the wrong decision. And that’s why I like it so much, Joel almost becomes like a villain and even though I 100% understand why he made the decision I still feel like I have just a little bit of hatred for him, considering everything that happened at the end. I don’t fully hate him but I can’t help but have that animosity towards him after what he did. Plus the gameplay contributed to the ending for me because nearly all my ammo was out at the very end and I had to kill the scientists with a flame thrower. AKA the most needlessly painful and violent weapon in the game. It feels like this moment fully establishes the status quo of the apocalyptic world and the break down of conventional morality.

In Sakurai’s video about kirbys adventure he said that if you’re less experienced you can get through the game by “just spitting out enemies” and if you’re more experienced you can take advantage of copy abilities. That’s the exact reverse of what everyone assumes the copy abilities were there for and I find it pretty funny.

But seriously how is not using copy abilities better for newcomers at all? Game’s like 10 times harder without copy abilities.

I shared a story I wrote with someone and the story sort of took a journal structure and it was intended to be kind of creepy too. He said that he likes how you could immediately tell something was off with the situation once the journal starts with “February 30th.” I did not intend that and was just being stupid in thinking that day existed but I’ll take it.
