5) The videos in the OP need more information then just who’s playing. As someone who visits the video threads of other boards, it’s very frustrating when you have to click on each video with no idea of how old it is. Therefore, I feel that as a minimum, each video needs to include the date of the match. Information about the match (whether it was a tournament match (name of tournament at least), money match, or friendly) would also be good to include.
Bobby, I'd just like to repeat this point in particular from my previous post because I feel it's very important.

Especially for new vids that you're putting up, the date that the match was played (or uploaded on youtube if that information isn't available) is very important.

I haven't really gotten to this thread yet Matt. Don't worry your suggestions will be used. I'll make some changes by next week.

Loved the ending to the first. You got smacked around a lot that last stock, but it's fine. Very nice grab-release -> fairs, though I was a little sad on the one you whiffed. More dtilts! Only main thing I wasn't too hot about was all the fairing, but it's not like those were serious matches.

I like your Zelda overall.

Too hard to hit a Wario with Zelda's dtilt, and she is punishable if they shield it.

But... you had no problem Dsmashing, and that's more punishable on shield.

Dsmash comes out basically on top of Zelda, or around there, on frame 4, and goes at max range on frame 5. You then lag for approximately 40 frames, even on a miss.

Dtilt comes out on frame 5, has more range than Dsmash, lasts for seven frames total (5-11). and is less laggy on a miss and on a shield, somewhere around 24ish frames. I'm too lazy to get the exact numbers, bit I know for a fact that dtilt isn't that much harder to hit with.

There's basically no difference in attack speed.

OoS dtilt is too good. Dsmash is way more punishable than Dtilt too. At least with dtilt u have less lag frames to defend yourself with jab/NL/shield/spotdodge/whatever the hell u wanna do.

and SP, it's too easy to hit a wario with dtilt, u jus don't use it enough.

Free grab on trip if it ever connects, or free grab on stun if used at 70%+ and fresh.

But I agree, it's very hard to track his movements and pin him down.

Nice videos

.......What? You've been playing some bad Warios, my friend.

His aerial speed makes it extremely hard to follow his landing and dtilt him, so unless he walks into your face or lands right in front of you..... umm, it's possible, but it's certainly not easy.

However, I do agree that in this case, dtilt > dsmash. The only advantage I see in dsmash is that it comes out 1 frame faster (not too big of a deal) and has a slightly higher hitbox, which can sometimes make it easier to hit with depending on which angle Wario is coming from. Dtilt will usually do a better job, though, and leads to better followups.

if u think LeoFTW and Infinity are bad warios then go ahead and think that. But honestly, i've landed Dtilt on them when i needed it the most. I don't RELY on dtilt against wario because of his air game (I probably should've made that clearer).

I got some Zelda videos up. I'm reaaally rusty with her in these videos and I'm whiffing way more than I normally do. But hey, I might as well post a few up.

The most pressing matter I saw was using Nayru's at weird times. There were times you used it and it was not the best option... or even a good one. Entertaining vids nonetheless I like the fact that I can hear you people lol.

okay.

I try to use din's as a dodge to avoid attacks I guess are coming or to punish rolls and spot dodges. I also try to take advantage of it's range especially in the air. how should I be using the move if at all?
And what are my better options?

You didn't really capitalise on many dtilt trips either, you kinda just let them get up =( I don't think the din's idea is very good imo... I normally just run away, so it's effectively the same strategy minus lag, unless I'm missing something?

Also... I think you were in plenty positions to edgehog or punish fox but you let it slip at times. I think you timed your invincibility frames a bit too early for edgehog kills and other stuff.

Other than that... I guess safe options would be jabbing/dtilting behind their shields. Jab's cooldown allows a shield to be thrown up if they buffer bair OoS as retaliation, and dtilts are always avoided, so I guess it's free shield pressure if they don't decide to roll away. I guess you could try those out =D Hopefully someone with experience in this matchup can come and help =)

I only watched the one having two matches (the first of those) so I´ll just say what I noticed from it.

First off, you missed many chances to inflict damage. In the very beginning, for example, Fox got up from the ground by rolling straight towards you. This should have meant free damage for you, but instead you just walked away and did nothing. There were also the missed D-tilt trip followups and edgehogs Kata mentioned.

Second, too much dash attack. It´s highly punishable and should be used as a quick surprise move or followup. Instead you often approached with it or just used it over and over again. Add in some hyphen smashes, empty shorthops and walking approaches.

Third, you don´t have to attack all the time. There were some situations where Fox clearly wasn´t in your reach and you still kept F-smashing, leaving yourself open. Instead use these situations to space yourself better, bait with fast attack and plan your strategy and attack only if you expect him to start approaching.

I´ll watch the others tomorrow and maybe add/correct something.

I watched number 6 <3 and I have to say I feel really comfortable on Brinstar with Zelda. What do you think of that stage using her?

I guess at roughly 0:45 you could have held the edge there and Fox would have died =D I liked what you did on the ledge just before 45 seconds into where you catch him with nair... it's like a semi-planking method right there lol!

Ouch you felt the pain on the 2nd and 3rd stocks. I noticed you dash attacked into his shield a lot, and you used Nayru's as a gtfo me move but it never really seems to work as that purpose. I guess just work on DI to escape Fox's many chases and you'll be able to put up a good fight.

edit: It's very general info I know but i'm sure someone more adept at fighting fox will come along and critique

<3 did you want these videos up for critique or for the archive only?

In the future if anyone wants vids to be critiqued please say so when you post the links.

Most of the 1v1 archive has been updated. I'm gonna start looking back in the pages to try to find as many videos that were posted but never moved.
