Too bad him beating Judge wasn't recorded as far as I know. I would have liked to see that, so I can figure out the Ike vs MK MU.

I'd say the biggest surprise is Ike making it that far, when he is definitely a low tier character, however, he does have some favorable match ups against some high-top tiers. Shaky's the best Ness, it's not as surprising as Ike though, because Ness is at least a middle tier character with more options, and Ike is the low tier character. Zero Suit Samus is a really good character, I don't know why people think of her as mediocre or less. It was also a surprise to me, when there were some people who didn't know who Nick Riddle was. They know now that he is the best Zero Suit Samus, and he was always scoring high in tournaments in Florida.

I want to know how the matches with Esam and Anther went down.

MK isn't that dominating, he never was (there are some tourneys where he did, but there are also tourneys where Snakes dominate, but usually it isn't like that).
He get's the best results though, and that's understanding, because many people play him since he's the best character.


Btw, Mew2King is too ****ing good... I heard he only lost one single game in the whole tourney and that was against Ally. Wow.

About 40% of the top 16 were MK players. That's about normal for the best character in the game. If it was above 50% in the top 16, then that might be a problem.

Mew2King seems like he is better than ever before with such a dominating performance. I thought he would of been confused to fight Nick Riddle, since great Zero Suit Samus' players are rare. But it seemed like it was an easy victory for M2K. That surprised me since Nick beat a lot of other MK's like Tyrant and some others. Mew2King really is on a different level than all other MK's.

I haven't kept up with Tekken 6 but all Tekken games before that were extremely unbalanced and the results a lot more one-sided than either MLG Brawl event.

You get low tier characters winning large Tekken 6 tournaments, the game is extremely balanced now.

M2K's just pure beast mode at MLG, congrats to him (lame attempt to stop myself from making consecutive off-topic posts).

You completely missed my point. You're just masking your argument to make MK seem less dominant in your "theoretical" example. Let me clarify.

You're telling me that we should divide our results into two groups. MK and Non-MKs. You then go on and tell us that 4 MKs and 4 Snakes (ie Non-MKs) in a tournament of 8 is exactly the same as 4 MKs and 4 other characters that aren't the same (ie counting each player seperately). Furthermore, you say that having 50% dominance on one group and having 50% on the other group isn't bad. In other words, you are trying to convince me that...

Texas and Florida are rivals and both are certainly underrated by the EC I think. Too bad texas can't have their 2nd best player at mlg .
