That was my first time using Luigi, ever. Of course they'll place more as Luigi because I don't main him or use him at all in tournament. I only used Luigi because BigLou wanted to see what it was like to use each others mains for a bit.

The size of the tournament and the entry fee matters in determining how much points are awarded. Bigger tournaments with bigger entry fees matter more.

You would have been better served to simply say that correlation =/= causation and hope that by a statistical anomaly there was a different underlying cause that made MK win (such as people who like blue circles being good at video games *for some reason*)

That would explain why Sonic's getting so many results...

I dont think its normal for 3 people to tie 7th...

Even if it was a round robin/swiss thing going on; only the top 8 are considered, and you have 9.

Well, we might be able to finish the tournament, but before we got to see who got 7th and 8th place, we got kicked our of the Student Union. We all had the same records, and the brackets were weird, so we weren't sure who was the 7th and 8th placed people. I can edit this later need be, but i figured this sort of thing happens from time to time. I will try and do a round robin between the 3 of us to see who the 7/8th people are.

Round robins/swiss/pools are generally not standard for a finishing off of a tournament.
