I wonder how they'd handle Doomguy's crossover screen if he were a Mii Costume considering the name of the game is in HIS name.
Theory: the reason Pac-Man is such a high IQ character in Smash is because the mazes in the original Pac-Man games are inside his brain's wrinkles.

I can't see this roster being as hyped up TBH.
Min Min in Smash is one those things I feel I should be angry or at the least upset about, she's such a stupid choice on a fundamental level, and only serves the purpose of being a last ditch attempt at advertising a terrible; failed product, but yet... I just can't feel upset about her. Maybe Byleth broke me.

I'm starting to think the recent "making fun of Gex" trend among YouTubers is just a conspiracy born in reaction to the Bubsy reboot to get a new Gex game made.

The way Sonic is treated in Smash makes me feel he's just there out of obligation.
The flesh belly on Paon's K. Rool is so gross.
Maybe I'm just saying this now with the foresight of his belly armour cracking in Smash, but still. It's disgusting. I hate it.
Has anyone else been noticing a recent comeback for 4:3? I'm not complaining in the slightest though, I love 4:3.
Ultimate is pretty impressive balancing wise, like there's not even a tier list - it's just as simple as "Little Mac and Bowser Jr. bad, everyone else good"
The box art for the Steam version of the Castle of Illusion remake claims it's a Sega Saturn game.
I don't know why.
One thing I really dislike about Death Battle compared to other, smaller Vs. shows is one half of the title - the "Death". You can have a proper resolution for a battle without forcing characters to go OOC.
Super Meat Boy isn't a hard game, like, at all. It's not a bad game, I've had fun with it, but compared to the retro games it's often compared to it's a cakewalk, even if you're to play said retro games with save states.
Pac-Man 2 would actually make for a pretty good Smash stage. It's one of the few non-maze Pac-Man games Namco isn't reluctant to acknowledge and as such it rereleases somewhat frequently; plus it has quite the (mostly ironic) cult following.
Me watching this video was nothing but a constant stream of shouting "dammit Miyamoto!" and/or "is Dunkey making this up?"
Nintendo should make "Old Play Control" ports of all their gimmicky touch screen; 3D and motion control games.
Though TBH I do kinda wish the Switch had 3D.

We like to joke a lot about family-friendly adaptations of media aimed at adults, like the Little Shop of Horrors cartoon or Rambo toyline

I had a dream where I went to a shop that sells bootleg merchandise, and they had one of those kids' science sets, but the logo said "Furniture Intestines" in WordArt with a silhouette of Johnny Test to the side.
You know how they say there's certain things you only get if you grew up in a Christian household? well, I grew up in an atheist household, and as such I instantly got this joke as a kid:
Not a good trade-off, you Christians got the banger that is His Cheeseburger; all I got was to be able to prematurely understand a dark joke about the Bible in Phineas and Ferb.
Still a funny joke though.
Is it just me or were Disney going through somewhat of an angsty teenage phase in the 2000s? All the symptoms were there:
Constant self-depricating jokes (the Teachers' Pet movie was a deconstruction of Pinocchio; Lilo and Stitch was advertised by making fun of the Disney Renaissance)
A few plotlines involving disconnected, inexperienced or outright terrible parents (Lilo and Stitch is about a broken home being repaired by welcoming an alien pet; Buck Cluck is a certified A-double-dollar hole in Chicken Little; Kuzco's adoptive mother is the villain in Emperor's New Groove)
Copying the more successful kids/studios in class/Hollywood (The Wild = Madagascar; Chicken Little = Shrek)
There's a reason why people think "Disney Channel" and not "Disney animation" when they hear "2000s Disney", and it's more than nostalgia - well, some of the stuff they put out was good, like the aforementioned Lilo & Stitch and New Groove, but that's a small amount.
So basically:
Fall Guys becomes popular out of nowhere
Another game with similar character designs from years ago somehow becomes more popular out of nowhere
People realise they left behind Fall Guys right as an update comes out, and Fall Guys becomes popular out of nowhere again.
I imagine this will be a cycle.

A lot (not all or even most, but a lot) of the people documented in "public freakout" videos are in the right TBH.
Anybody who says things like "happiness is a choice" or "I don't like the grumpy you" should have their English license revoked.
There's only one specific character I don't want: Shadow the Hedgehog. Hate that edgelord.
There's also two general types of character I don't want: Anime swordfighter (or any FE character, even a non-sword user); and sexualised (or generally "beautiful") female character - can we get a female character who's an animal or a kid or ugly or something for once? Characters like Isabelle; F!Villager; Minecraft Alex; Wendy; and Inkling are a step in the right direction - but most of those are just alternate costumes.
Sonic fans have managed to capture the original source material so well it's hard to tell which Sonic renders are official and which are fan art.
I had a dream where they remade DKC2, but they just put all the level layouts in jungle settings with the Jungle Hijinx theme in the background for all of them. Also it was only playable via a subscription service, not NSO mind you, but a unique DKC2 subscription service.
If Kirby had just stayed a placeholder I wonder what he would've been replaced by... some kind of land-shark or other carnivorous animal? maybe they would've simply added a few extra elements to his design - like bigger eyes, cat ears, and even a puff of hair? -
