I personally like to imagine DriDim has kart colour customisation, but the colours aren't locked or forced into specific combinations.

I have a kind of idea for how a CGI DriDim trailer would play out
It'd be released on a Nintendo Direct, and begin with Bowser driving the Koopa Chase on Rainbow Road, before being hit by a Blue Shell - Mario in the Pipe Frame drives past the knocked-out Koopa King and is about to use a Mushroom - but in barely enough time for the audience to process, Homer bangs him out of the way in INSERT SIMPSONS KART HERE - Luigi and Bart then drive by in INSERT OTHER SIMPSONS KART HERE and the Clown Car respectively, with Homer trying to grasp Bart's neck but not being fast enough - then it pans up to a slowed down close-up of a wheel reading THE MUPPET SHOW as a drumroll plays before speeding up and zoming out to reveal Kermit in the Electric Mayhem van, bumping Bart out of the way as the two green fellows compete for first place, before an basketball falls into Kermit's hands - he plays hot potato with Luigi as their hands being off the wheels make them drift off the track before the basketball explodes... WINNER OF THE CURRENT CAR JOB is seen going straight into the camera, before panning up to reveal Sans is driving them - it then zooms out to show a TV screen that the entire Generix Prix family are watching - cue logo and console avaliablity details. It closes on a scene of Sans on the podium, with Kermit being a good sport and Luigi not so much - a dialogue box shows up above Sans - "*guess i was.. *bone for this!" - and Fozzie Bear pops up to shout "Wocka Wocka!"
It's weird that people call Ghostly Adventures "westernised" - like, it certainly is with the slime jokes and faux-Pixarian blue CGI eyes, don't get me wrong, but of all the Pac-Man spin off media at that point it's probably the one that feels closest to the tone commonly associated with anime. A vast majority of the Pac-Man lineup, even including the arcade games, was developed in America, and a lot of what Pac-Fans accept as the "Pac-Man universe" was built off of classic sitcom tropes due to how influential Hanna Barbera's take on the universe was on the World games - even a lot of the Japanese-developed Pac games (like Pac-Man 2) were heavily inspired by American sensibilities. If anything we're seeing Pac-Man become Easternised as of Re-Pac (albeit more in the direction of Anpanman/Doraemon than Dragon Ball/Pokémon) rather than the usual other way around Japanese characters tend to go through.
I think Movie Sonic in NASB would be really cool - partially because they'd do him more justice than Smash, but also because NASB is a game that was basically made for Sonic, especially Paramount's wisecracking "Westernised" Sonic - super fast, super aggressive, filled with the kind of Western characters Sonic's design was inspired by, and attacks that revolve around dancing or throwing props are the norm.
I think that if every Japanese franchise is to introduce a neon-haired half-animal Vtuber, every American franchise should introduce a bearded angry reviewer in professional clothing.
If I did a "Smash Infinite but good" creation thread, I probably would've made it an in-universe sequel to SMSB and have a lot of the same qualities like the emphasis on stages and acceptance of kinda batcrap crazy ideas.
I've never really agreed with the philosophy of "permanently retire a character because their actor died" - that being said, if Danny DeVito dies before the Mario Movie 2 enters production, they should just not include Wario in any of the movies. I think this is the one scenario where a celebrity voice is objectively preferable.
Calling it now: The Mario movie will be released on the Xbox storefront and literally every gaming news outlet will devote an article to it like it's some kind of surprise and not just how film distribution works.
I feel people tend to exaggerate just how dark Mother 3 is - like, I certainly think it's one of Nintendo's darker offerings, but I also don't think it would get an M rating like people say it would either. It's more the controversial elements that are an issue for a potential localisation than the dark elements - in particular the game's blatant pro-communism stance and everything about the Magypsies
Hold on, if we got Tankman - a website mascot - as a Spirit in Infinite... and this was the specific character Venus recommended...

I've got the next 6 or so weeks of DriDim planned out - it's subject to change but there's some real exciting stuff I feel.
It's kinda cool that Fraymakers has a character who also has a Smash cameo.
It's REALLY cool that Fraymakers has a character from a game that was reskinned into a Bubsy game.
The next franchise submission for DriDim will be very funny, both out- and in-universe.
The mid-voting job will be kinda boring though

I don't know how Infinite manages to be both, the only creation thread with more than 2 hosts and the only creation thread to be an utter management disaster - unless staff have dropped out since DLC started and it's just Venus now or something.
Imagine explaining what just happened with my Fraymakers event submission in the context of actual game development
"So, this one guy - kinda infamous, big Clippy fan - suggested we do a spirit crossover with Fraymakers and everyone liked the idea. The boss somehow signed onto this without realising Fraymakers is itself a crossover and that his idea was to have spirits of duos from the game - now we've just spent more money than we used to get Geno on 6 PNGs."

I don't get how liminal spaces are supposed to be scary - maybe it's just that I went out in the afternoon/evening a lot as a kid and always lived in generally underpopulated areas, but I find an empty mall or hotel more comforting than scary.

PSASBR2 fan rosters strictly avoiding roster overlap with Smash annoys me as much as Microsoft rosters having too many Rare characters and Disney rosters having too many TVA characters.
Reminder that Smash only having characters who have been on Nintendo consoles in some form is, if even a concious decision, a marketing decision and not a creative decision.
One thing I wish more platform fighters would embrace is competitive-friendly stage hazards - stuff like Randall on Yoshi's Story and Whispy on Dream Land 64. Sewer Slam in NASB is really cool, even if its sludge hazard is a little too RNG based.

While I prefer no unlockables at all, I do like the idea of a crossover allowing you to unlock franchises instead of individual characters. So, like in a Smash game you'd start off with every single Mario character, item, and stage, then instead of unlocking Link after 10 battles you'd unlock Link; Zelda; Toon Link; Temple; Gerudo Valley; Bunny Hood; e.t.c. all at once.

I really dislike how you can only use Battlefield forms for Multi-Man Smash. Given there's no public leaderboard I don't see why they'd be worried about people exploiting 75M to get a super high score or whatever.

Early US Pokémon advertising is so fascinating to me - like, they fully embraced the whole "game hunting" thing and centered the ads around trapping Pokémon instead of befriending them. I do wonder if, had the anime not existed or been released outside of Japan and these ads were how US kids viewed the Pokémon universe outside the green pixels, the series would've gone for something edgier and less friendship-themed like these commercials going on like how 90s US Sonic marketing influenced the 2010s games, or on the opposite end of the spectrum the games would remain as is and there'd be Western fan outcry over the promotion of Pokémon friendship and care like there was for Wario's fart jokes when they finally started coming abroad.
Nick Kart 3 speculators who are not even considering buying the game when they add Classic Quadrupedal Garfield instead of Louie Lagoon, the half-human-half-Loch-Ness-Monster from SwampDwellerz, the classic 2005 cartoon with the completely unique premise of "a schoolboy with a secret second life of magical powers" that no other cartoon had at the time and only lasted 2 seasons, the second of which was finished in 2006 but aired in 2011 during school hours.
Does anyone remember Puddi Puddi? The Japanese flan commercial that was a meme in 2012 or so? Because as a kid there was one part of that video that kinda creeped me out - when the last piece of a pudding is eaten at a party and the "puddi puddi!" voice clip is played with an echo effect right after. For some reason 10 year old me interpreted that as like a "face in the clouds" sorta way of implying I just saw one of the puddis from the animated segment die and that they're at rest.
