I had a dream where Adult Swim released an extended cut of Learning with Pibby, and it was just an extra 10 minutes at the beginning of Pibby trying to decide whether to save Bun Bun or a Swiper parody named "Mr. Pilferer" from the darkness - at the end Danny DeVito came on to say "Warner Bros. won't let us make Learning with Pibby because the creator posted this image on Twitter and Warner Bros. want to hide the existence of the GameCube."

I know I may have run the whole "Smash fans don't care about games that weren't made by Nintendo in the late 90s/early 00s" thing into the ground by now, but Smash fans thinking wavedashing is bad because it was supposedly a glitch speaks volumes about Smash fans' familiarity with gaming history, considering that the Space Invaders bug is gaming history 101 on the level of Mario 2 being Doki Doki Panic or Pokémon being short for Pocket Monster.

The 32-bit era easily had the best startups of any one gaming generation, with only the directly following generation coming close - even the bad consoles like Jaguar; Amiga CD32; and CD-i had incredible startups - so it's kind of a shame that the N64 didn't have a startup, and when it did get one on the DD it was probably the least remarkable startup of the console market at that time.

I had a dream where Machoke got two new pre-evolutions: one that had green hair and a cyclops eye (never got the name though), and another that looked like Miltank but was drawn like a Hanna-Barbera character and had the build of Crash Bandicoot, officially named "Yabba Dabba Moo Headass". - also the first one was revealed in a toothpaste commercial.

In the same dream, I went on a Wallace & Gromit themed rollercoaster, which was a train with no floor that would drag your feet through hot coal paved with cold processed McDonald's cheese, and was - other than the car having a Jpeg of Wallace on it - decorated only with statues of Link picking up a penny.

As much as I love obscure character comebacks, I hope Pac-Devil never appears in a Pac-Man game again. This is an absolute "the answers will ruin it" case - is Pac-Devil evil or just a wild guy? Is Pac-Devil just a Pac-Demon or the Pac-Satan? Is there a Pac-Hell? a Pac-Angel or even Pac-God? Is Pac-Devil a fallen Pac-Angel? Is this a transformation/costume of Pac-Man or a seperate character? Who came up with idea for this out-universe? Is he a cohort of the ghosts, a shared enemy, or even Pac-Man's ally? How can damnnation exist in a world filled with evil ghosts? Any official answer to these questions, no matter how wild or world-shattering, cannot compare to the reality of this beautiful anomaly.

One thing that annoys me a little is when people have a mentality that basically amounts to "this person made something I like, so they must naturally have the same tastes and standards as me" - that may not be the best way to put it, but basically either A. feeling betrayed or upset (even mildly or jokingly) that a creator has expressed love for something you dislike or vice versa - see the replies to Kojima's Minions tweet - or B. assuming any design decision you disagree with was inherently a corporate choice or out of the artists' hands - see the constant moaning about Rare's shift in direction under Microsoft from Nintendo fans since 2002.

Even though I liked the idea a lot at the time, SSBU ending on a history character like Space Invader or an Atari rep wasn't really a good idea - even disregarding that Smash fans have an aversion to any game released before the late 90s, it wouldn't be earned like G&W in Melee was given SSBU isn't really a good "gaming history museum" in the way Melee and Brawl were "Nintendo museums". Sora on the other hand does feel earned given how much SSBU focused on fan picks - even if I disagree with that approach.

I don't really like the idea of Bentley Bear in Smash that much compared to other potential Atari reps, mostly because I feel he has too much of a personality/theme to him and it wouldn't make sense for him to pull out space or high fantasy-themed props, let alone such props with a retro aesthetic. It's kinda like making the wolf from Egg the Game & Watch rep instead of a generic silhouette, sure: the wolf has way more personality and is much more striking to the eye, but he also has a specific theme that doesn't blend well with being lifted up by firemen or transforming into an octopus - in a similar way, I feel Bentley's Disney-esque kiddie fantasy aesthetic wouldn't work well with showcasing all of Atari's lineup in the way a cube with an arrow or a triangle that shoots lasers would.

I do wonder why Lip's Theme was on PictoChat in Brawl instead of the Yoshi's Island stage - even if you ignore that Tetris Attack exists, the song fits way better on YI aesthetically and YI is pretty similar aesthetically to Lip's home in Panel De Pon. Would've gone well on Green Greens too, but Brawl was really weird about Melee stages.
