It's rarely, if ever, a good idea to challenge Link while above him. Besides the fact that being directly above someone isn't that great for Peach to begin with, Link's Up air is good. Well, it's slow but very annoying. Watch out for that. Also, it seemed to me like you dash attacked a lot. HDL got hit by most of them, but maybe you should mix that up with grab or something.

I wish I could tell you what to do when Link nairs a turnip and uses it for recovery. I wasn't even aware that that could be done with him (with other chars, yes).

Those were just small things, though.
Yeah, I do have that bad habit of dash attacking a lot sometimes, need to work on that. Thanks!

i mean for fc fair i just do a sort of press A while pressing forward on the control stick, then change the direction immediately to down and let go of the jump button. i suggest not using the cstick for fc aerials cuz you have to use A for fc nair anyway

That is one of the funniest things that I've ever seen.

Also, I've decided that my favorite thing in Melee is when someone gets caught in a 50+ percent dsmash in Peach dittos. You all finally feel our pain.

Yeah... cause Peaches have it oh so rough. LOL

On a side note... I really wanna get some Peach vids up. So MacD can make fun of how bad I am.

Uthrow and dthrow are useless (uthrow still useful vs Roy, Donkey Kong, Captain Falcon, Falco, and Fox). fthrow and bthrow have much better follow up options. Low % fthrow can string into lots of stuff. At higher %'s she can use her free time to pull a turnip and get a float going for spacing. Works wonders near the ledge because her edge guarding is so good. Especially when after you throw, wait for the double jump, then weak hit dash attack to semi spike and watch them fall to their death

Something I learned yesterday

I'm trying to implement the DJ landing because it seems more innocuous than wavelanding and it feels like I can action out of it faster than I can with a waveland. But same idea.

Yeah, I suppose I shouldn't say that c-stick makes it easier, when it's more of a preference matter. It's just that I tried using A for the other aerials in the past, and C-stick just worked better for me. Every now and then, I accidentally u-air instead of b-air, anyways. :D I guess that's a downside to using c-stick if you aren't careful.

Double jump landing? With Peach? Personally, I don't like having to use her double jump for "chasing," cause it's slow, but I'm open to ideas.

Nooooo Peach mains stealing my djl techniques that I'm trying to implement with my Ness and Peach. Now I won't be unique anymore.

D-throw is really good if you're at the ledge and facing away from it. The only way they can di is up (into a nair) or offstage (into an edgeguard).

I personally don't like b-throw. I don't see any use for it except throwing people off the stage.

My friend likes to spam Fsmash. A lot. What's the right way to punish this?

Also, how am I supposed to approach Marth? Also, what's the right reaction when he's approaching me?

You mean he likes to spam Marth's forward smash? You can wavedash out of shield and punish his lag. It's a really laggy move, and there are a lot of ways to punish him for throwing it out randomly. As long as you don't get hit by it, you can almost always do something to him.

WD OOS down smash, grab, or dash attack

Float OOS > FC Nair if you're close enough (or you can do one of the above anyway)

Marth's forward smash is bad against grounded opponents

If he tips F-smash on your shield, back up, then grab a turnip or reposition

So guys

What's the optimal way to use a beamsword? Has anyone tried (extensively) anything other than chucking it at *****es?

That beamtilt seems good but I suck at melee what do I know
