Prove it, because I don't need to do anything. Yoshi is nothing more than a dinosaur just waiting to get obliterated through time. A player should look at all strengths and weakness one character has, if you forget what his weaknesses are then you might just fall short, that's my point. There's things you can always exploit just because the character is terrible, Yoshi has that, if he hadn't then he would obviously be better than he is right now.

I think Sheik's grab > 70% is still pretty good vs Yoshi even with his innovations, but I can see him being potentially frustrating to grab. So I dunno.

Serious question: Are there any vids of your yoshi doing well in tourney (seen the friendlies vs. Hack)?

'Cause if when you say "dominating swedish nationals... with yoshi" you mean "getting 4th (?) at BEAST II with Falco" I sense some exaggeration.

Matter of fact, I can't seem to find vids of ANYONE doing anything serious in tourney with Yoshi (I know Vman made bracket at like P5 but he used falco mostly right?)

And M2K you make a lot of money lol. Maybe not like real-people-with-jobs money, but pretty good ssb money.

No. He was all Yoshi (except for one set in first round pools vs Voodoo iirc)

Vman is amazing.

Vids are coming up soon, I won 2 tournaments the past 2 weekends using Yoshi for all important matches... the vids include 20+ 0-to-death combos, lots of epic 4 stocks (tournament matches) etc...

Also, Vman used falco for first round pools and Yoshi for bracket/2nd/3rd round pools, so he definitely played more Yoshi.

Yoshi is fine vs Peach, but I really don't wanna play him in the matchup vs Armada cuz its boring and I enjoy the Fox-Peach matchup much more.

I didnt try to imply that everyone or the majority of North americans are ignorant, but NOONE from Europe have even come close to being close minded or as throughly biased as 90% of the American posters have when I've talked to them about Yoshi. There are obvious exceptions with KK, Strong Bad, PP among others that say "learn, THEN decide" compared to the "HURRDURR I AM RITE WARRIORWARRIOR I WILL NOT LOSE TO A LOW TIER".

And if you are just rooting for me because I'm using a low tier then I'd rather not have you support me at all

2nd using kage as an example is clearly way to small of sample size.

lastly i like supporting underdog low tiers b/c the more usable/viable characters the better for melee. plus its always fun seeing underused characters do well. so I am not rooting for u i am rooting for more viable usable characters and melee as a game and if yoshi is that character then i hope to see a yoshi do well.

Fox isn't necessarily aggressive, Marth isn't necessarily reserved. Why would you want to limit yourself like that anyway?

It's really not just a European belief. Most of the world thinks that Americans are very ignorant.

It probably has a lot to do with how (something even Americans admit) arrogant American culture is.

I'm all for listening to Leffen's theory bros talk, but i dont think most of us will put any weight into his argument on how good yoshi is unless he actually shows it through tourney results.... like battlecow stated, there is absolutely nothing of your yoshi on youtube except for friendlies... and you really didnt use him at Genesis 2... i dont even know why you call yourself a yoshi/spacies main

Apparently he's been winning with him at "nationals" (him and tonberry in GF's, to give you an idea of the scale, no offense tonberry) and there'll be vids out soon. If anyone wants a laugh, go check out the Yoshi boards recently--dude's ego is seriously amazing. Words fail me, and I mean that literally.

Also--I know it's hip and all to hate on America these days, but... I really don't know how someone can read leffen's posts, compare them to Dr. PP's (guy with the captain America avatar) and say that America's arrogant. Stereotypically speaking, Europe has always been considered the "arrogant" but intelligent continent, with America being down-to-earth but ignorant.

"Sigh" ever since I've played Yoshi, i feel as if everyone like wants to just like run me out of town... (which is fine), but idk, i don't exactly know how to explain this feeling... The yoshi players can have their Yoshi... I feel like i've only caused turmoil through pple.. I only wanted to pursue the character, w/what i did at Pound V, but seems all I did was innovate it and help cause it...

The sad thing is, everyone will agree with me (well, a much larger number) if I do well at Apex with Yoshi (I'm playing him and I'm gonna do well unless I face a Sheik lol) even though it shouldn't matter.

I know the "right" way to do things is to prove that HEY GUYS, IM A GOD AT SMASH THEREFOR MY OPINION IS VALID which is basically what EVERYONE goes by atm but I really couldn't care less about what some random players with nothing to say themselves think about how I argue.
