Yo Crimson, I just watched a couple of your sets from Grev 15. I was a bit surprised because my impression is that you're capable of a bit more than those videos showed.
If I may, I have just a couple of suggestions for your marth ditto.
- It seemed to me that you were always very anxious to start a combo, so you often went in for a grab or a dash attack or whatever, and it looked like Hyprid's calmness prevented you from doing that, and in fact punished you.
- I also thought that there were some simple edgeguards that you missed. I would try using dtilt (or crouch-cancel then dtilt) to edgeguard marth. Often, just walking away and fsmashing works too. It helps to initially jump right out there so they can't recover in the way they want to, and then come back to edgeguard.
- As well, it looked like you were having spacing issues (getting that first hit in, I mean). Really, really consider wavedash-ftilt. The range is so ridiculous, and it really helps at those low-mid percents to get something going.
- On stages like FD, consider upthrow to start a combo (catch them on a DJ or whatever) instead of fthrow or dthrow.
A lot of this you've probably thought about, but I think it's good to have it brought to our attention sometimes.
Good luck next time!
