Haha yeah. Luke and Reindex are a couple of good guys. Sucks that happened to them.
Makes me feel bad, cause it could happen to anyone really.

I guess it doesn't apply to smash, but in other games (with dual multiplayer screens), you always hear:

"SCREEN WATCHER!"

Nice list, made me laugh

Lol. In kart racing games I used to watch my opponent's screen so I could still hit them with items even when they were behind me.

Hehe one of my Brawl taunts is "SCREEN WATCHER!!!" Mostly for my friend who also plays call of duty--they always accuse me of screen watching XD!

@sybawave's sig: Has anyone actually contacted you about wanting to get *****? 0.o

That...I'm sorry, is rather ******** in some aspects. I was always to understand that a John was any excuse that really didn't apply to your actual loss. I think some people tend to throw "No Johns" around like "a". Good games, I'm upset I missed that Tech. Oh well, a loss is a loss" (truth) "No Johns." What the PHAT!? How in the world is that a John? If your'e stating truth and accepting the match. I think the idea of Johns got skewed somewhere along the line. Stating what lost the match for a person, nowadays is called "Johns"? If it's fact...how can it be a John? If they accept the loss...then how is that a John?

I'm a bit lost here...whatever. I guess people just love to say "No Johns" for anything, nowadays.

I'll agree that while it's funny to explain to someone that the concept of Johns covers EVERYTHING, legit or not, when you actually DO say "No Johns" to your friends over legit stuff or just...anything, it's mad annoying.

esp the people who say that and then they John about stupid **** [in the actual sense of the word "Johning" which means to make excuses that aren't legit]

Yeah, I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels that way. My one friend johns about stupid stuff...so I tell him no Johns. Problem is...in an attempt to not feel like he's always making up excuses (he is), he makes attempts to say it whenever possible. Also...he likes acting ******** with it. Since "John" is also another name for "toilet" he did that to Eggm one day...omg...I felt so bad when I had to explain what he was doing. Eggm wasn't even Johning....that's the worst part.

Come to think of it... Eggm always seems to be there for the awkward moments. I tend to feel bad, too, xD. The same day he asked if that was my little brother was with me...and I said "No, it's my nephew." I think he might have thought I said... "No...Eff you..." Because he seemed to back off a bit after that, -_-. I'm really self conscious about pissing people off. It's why I try not to John...too hard, xD.

nah nah as a JOKE, EVERYTHING is a John. Hah I remember seeing this interview [about Brawl I think] with Gimpy, HugS, and...Nealdt maybe? I don't recall exactly, but when asked about it, they gave an example of the joke version [how everything is a John] where you would ask "why aren't you coming to the tourney?" and they'd say they just broke their foot or something and you'd reply "No Johns, man"

don't take this thread too seriously at ALL :)

Hell, I can't say "Hmm..." without it being considered a John? I say that all the time when I can't think of anything else to say after having been killed (usually early).

"Augh! You mean I didn't have another jump?!?!"
Okay...in Melee...that is by far quite possible. It happens to even the better players. It happens so much faster, xD. It also usually happens when you're near the bottom of the stage, too, xD. Not really a John...more of a realization, xD.

It's like realizing that the woman you just offered to take home was in fact a Hooker. Then...when you get pulled over...your realization kicks in. It's like "OMG....that's a hooker!!!" Just don't be like Eddie Murphy and make an infamous stament of it it like, "I was just giving her a ride home!!" ROFL, classic material.

List of jhons...were have I been? lol
No Johns, man.

but no really, BLACK ORB JOHNS?! Now THAT'S impressive. And he was so insistent about its distracting abilities too! What a bunch of crazy ADD kids who can't focus on what they're doing when there's a big glowing object floating there...where it ALWAYS is...EVERY time they play there.

Also, I definitely claim "Chudatz' ****ing freezing garage"-hand Johns. That **** kills spacies' skills...well just Melee skills in general, really.

haha. johns are funny. Best john ive heard: "Is there a window open cuz my hands are getting really cold"

Context: Team match, this guy (john) is teaming with the Prime a WA samus player. He just lost his 3rd stock and his teammate says dam (the Prime just lost his first stock) and looks over at john. The window was open when john got there and hed been playing for an hour and a half lol.

Cold hand johns are legit. It's hard to play at optimum speed if your hands are cold.
