I don't even play brawl, but I kinda felt sad when I heard bjay, gluttony, and leon weren't going anymore. I kinda just want each game to have as many big names as possible.

Also I heard somewhere, Mexican forums that more people besides EX, Javi, and maybe Twin are trying to go. Just thought people might wanna know.

not saying any of this is wrong, but I do want to point out what I believe are a few overlooked factors in this example.

evo tourneys have literally multiple thousands of people. And pools for that tournament was (and might be the same case for all big SF tourneys) run with normal double elim bracket rules. where each pool was the size of a small smash national. (128) Which exacerbated the whole 'EVO points are a big deal thing', As opposed to smash tourneys that run round robin style pools. IMO, this tourney still wont be big enough to run double elim. feasibly in pools. and one round of pools basically means that youre going to have to run 8 man pools only 1st place gets out or something crazy like that.

I was trying to do the math to calculate some kinda compromise, but it looks as if you're right; they're may be no feasible way to hold a single rounds of pools at a tourney of this caliber.

Anyways do we still have Japanese players coming from melee? Or is that not happening anymore?

P.S. EX will also be here. There is a possibility now that Tuga (Twin) can join his brother. Atlus is giving out 3 tickets. 2 of them going to EX/Javi. Third one is kind of in the air now. So hype for Twin as well.

I think Isai might just do teams if Ken ends up going...just for the lols. I know he's never been a fan of singles though. Also yeah Keitaro I agree with you 100%. I feel honored actually to live in the same area as Alex Strife, knowing he's going all out for the community makes me proud. Bronx for lyfe!!!!

idk, s2j and isai t-13th at genesis. obv s2j is much better than ken would be, but if they trained they could be a tough out even in later rounds of the tournament
