If the third ticket to apex exist, is posible that twin (tuga) attend, i talked with him yesterday, and he really wants to come to apex, so hope to get him the third ticket, sorry for my bad english, lol
pretty ertain he's probably gonna get it. According to Alex Strife he (twin) rounded off the top 3 for your region that was going. Atlus also said that Tuga was a possibility ( for the third ticket) a few days ago. Chances are he'll be able to go I guess.

What makes me really happy is he sounds motivated to come, instead of us just dragging him to go lol.

I think after this tournament, we will know the talent of every superb Melee player in the world and can get a true idea of who the best of the best are.

Brawl too I guess. :awesome:

Well I think this really is your first shot to get the title of world champion in brawl. You should at least try to be enthusiastic about it.
I've already won my huge share of majors, like over half of them I think (I think ever west/midwest/south tourney I've been to in past 2 years; 3/4 MLGs I could enter I swept, and I won Gen2). No one cares when i do, they just blame metaknight instead of my mastery with him.

Excuse your mastery of the character for making him look broken as hell.

Even if I rush people down and just use pure skill they just blame it on the character. When people get 3 stocked over and over it's not cuz of the character. DMG you, like most brawlers, just whine about the char instead of actually getting good at the game. You're (and people like you) one of the reasons I left BBR a year ago. No matter what I say back there, it's completely ignored because you will still say whatever types of rules (whether its regular rules like the timer, or stages to choose from, or metaknight, or anything) you (and over half the people back there for over 2 years, until I resigned) will personally benefit to.

well, lets be honest, he's pretty damn good, infact a little too good, so we at least need a restriction on him to make it a bit fairer (i.e: ledgegrab limit). however i can tell you now that people will complain about EVERYTHING! Im fairly sure in the past ive had people (tournament standard, not scrubs) tell me that ikes dash attack is broken, hell thers many things wrong with that XD
i can also tell you that if you play aggro meta knight 100% (except against icies, we'll forgive you there) over defensive meta knight, almost no-one will complain, because aggro is fun to watch regardless of the character....actually the person youre currently destroying with aggro tactics might complain, but that happens regardless, haha

Nobody in Japan has a "perfect" record. When 9B mained IC he dropped sets to Ganbaranai, Masashi and Nietono. Nietono himself has also lost sets this year to Yui, Shu, Rain and 9B. They are the two biggest threats though but not by as much as some people think imo.

It's not so much about the character anymore, since he is in fact beatable. It's moreso about how practically everything we do regarding this game (shaping rulesets, stagelists, limiting tactics, the structure of the current tier list itself, etc.) is so strongly focused on Metaknight and the impact he has. That kind of polarization is, frankly, ridiculous. Go ahead, take a look at some of the results for the MK banned tournaments and compare them to some regular tournaments of similar size. The variety is beautiful, and shows a similar struggle for power between multiple viable characters to what Melee has going on.

I know you main (and have mastered) the character, but perhaps it wasn't in your best interest to bet it all on one hand, so to speak. Ally made the wiser choice by becoming a jack-of-all-trades player, and because of it he can still sit pretty at the top and be able to wreck mostly anyone with his abundance of other developed characters.

I'm not going to debate this here in the thread but I'd like to you remind you that all these actions aren't actually needed. One mistake most of you make is to assume that the status quo of the american ruleset is the most logically sound scenario, which is far from true. If you care for an actual debate about this I'm up for it but PMs > this thread for that.

spending all my time into 1 char was actually a good idea @ King Beef. Every top melee player except mango and myself only use 1 character in tournament (Armada, Hbox, PP/every falco player, etc.).( My reason for using multiple chars in melee was mostly for fun though, and that I've been playing that game for like 6000 hours or so and I messed around with everyone for a very long time). It's good to master every matchup with 1 character if possible, and I made the decison to do this back when they were still doing smashdojo updates before the game was released

When you use a broken character like Metaknight I don't think you have the right to complain about the rules that impedes his performance. Despite everything that has been done to limit his dominance Metaknight is still by far the best character in the game.

M2k is right though, it's very difficult to cheer for Metaknight unless you main the character.

indeed. but its a wierd scenario, by removing these 'stupid' stages you also limit other characters, often a lot more then you limit MK himself. so its a wierd scenario.
he's a character which is above average in every major department (except maybe survivability) which makes for a tough matchup for everyone, the things he has over characters like diddy is that theres isnt one particular thing that any other character has which wrecks his metagame.

I don't understand why people still play this game to be honest. Lol Stop crying and learn the MU. I almost never see high level players complaining about MK. And I'm still under the impression that it's m2k beating you alot more then MK.

Brawl and melee arent even in the same category of games if you look past the fact that they have some of the same characters.

Playing brawl is a grind, playing melee is fast paced and rapeeeeeeee. (Most of the time)

just cuz they rant doesn't make them right

they didn't used to want that when they were beating me, adhd used to **** me, then, especially with adhd, he starts getting ***** by me (cuz i get a lot better, while he got a lot worse) and suddenly they want him gone, and then he makes blogs on aib about it until he gets everyone to agree with him. No fighting spirit at all

edit - unfinished tornado to up tilt doesn't work unless they try to come down on you with an aerial. If they predict your immediate attack (in this case, an up tilt) and air dodge to the ground then smash you, you are ****ed.

This is why I usually do things like SH Uair, to double jump footstool dair. It works well in some matchups like snake and MK dittos, but someone like Diddy could fall to the ground before MK can dair him and shield it. It depends the matchup. I learned this all from experience. Somethings vs Diddy I'll do a mix up like SH uair, predict them to land in their shield, then turn around grab into throw off the stage
