so enter all the games!

i think only me and chu are man enough to do it

maybe azen
Smash 64 was fun but I can't even hold the N64 controller anymore so no at that.

Too many years of Melee made me run away from the game when Brawl came out. I stopped entering Melee because I became out of practice from practicing Brawl so much plus it would mess myself up switching between both games but imma enter Melee at this for fun.

Basically I usually only enter the game I practice which is Brawl.

Keitaro I know what you mean that's why I propose that if each player enters both games, they should get a small discount. Like say each game is 10 dollars to enter singles for an event (like a local tournament or mid-sized tournament or something). 10 Brawl + 10 melee = 20 total. Well they might want to, but don't have the motivation to cuz they don't think they are good enough. So, the motivation is that if they enter both games, they get 2 dollars off or something like that. A discount for a "bundle pack" sort of thing. Try to expand upon that idea would be good I think. This will benefit BOTH games.

that discount ideas good actually, I know I have no plans on entering melee atm even though I still play it a lot just cuz I don't see the point in paying full price for it, but if it were discounted for entering both I'd be more likely to enter o.o

I should really learn to work footstooling into my game. And platform cancelling. I keep procrastinating on learning that.

Also I'd totally be entering 64, but I'd get my *** handed to me. Gonna get in tons of friendlies though. Still my favourite Smash.

btw its 15 for singles guys.

As far as entering all games. This is a major event. If you like all games or more than one ... enter. It is not going to be a bad thing to enter and it adds to the hype to see everyone enter.

Please support this event and its future by entering. If we do not enter events because we are too"scared" of being beat then we will never grow as a community.

or more to the point: if the cost of my flight across the atlantic hadnt drained by wallet to a mass akin to jigglypuff

I'll be doing brawl + side events, and watching a ton of melee. I thoroughly enjoy watching high level melee as well. Also gotta see Juan go in hard at this and defend his APEX title.

:phone:

there was a point in time where I used to practice for tournaments in soul calibur, tekken, and melee. and I intentionally trained myself to switch games on the fly. lol.

that would be cool.

this just reminded me that theres going to be a marvel tournament at this.

But then it just made me sad, because I wont be able to enter and potentially place in the money at said marvel tournament, unless I buy one of these

and Im barely scraping up the money to go to this in the first place.

I really don't think Hungrybox is a legitimate candidate to win melee singles. He can't beat Mango, Armada or Peepee anymore.

^ That's the point I was trying to make in my other post, about it not always being the best idea to do that.

Hungrybox went to last game when he played Dr.PP last at Pound 5, and he had sick johns. Though PP has improved a lot, so we can't really say.

Mango and Armada do look hopeless though. Maybe if he gets a Sheik for Armada's Young Link, but he'll have to watch out for character counterpicks, as his Sheik vs Armada's Peach will be lol.

He doesn't even need to practice that much. Fox wrecks y.link incredibly hard :/. Play him like a week before the tournament and he'll be fine lol.

I'm starting to wonder if Mango can see the damn future, I mean I don't like playing the what if card as much as I used to, but what if the guy still mained puff? I mean he must've seen jigg's limitations before armada did. Either that or his aggressive style matured him into a spacies main.

Just tried to find some videos of him, but all I got was a year old friendly of his Fox that didn't really impress me.

Is there any recent footage of Javi?

Hm, well taking that rusty comment into consideration, then I would say he's not bad. His combo DI and survival DI(defense in general really) seem pretty weak though.

He has a couple cool ideas at the least, which is always something good to have.

Javi does kinda look rusty, but he's still a beast in my eyes from the first time I saw his videos from like 2 years ago.

Thanks for the idea on discounts. We wont be giving discounts ( it messes with the pot ) HOWEVER we will do a giveaway for those who enter more than one game.

Let's just say it will probably be a 3DS

Thoughts?

Yeah that sounds fantastic. Does that include just entering Smash games or does it include stuff like Marvel as well?

What about if we join brawl singles & doubles would that count?

Also, if I don't get the chance to pay online, can I pay in person? My mom doesn' like online paying & my friend didn't trust it since you'll have like the credit card info. Maybe I could just get a rush card but im not sure.

you can get a visa gift card that you can purchase in general areas. 7-11 and various gas station / grocery stores have it.

If we do a give-a-way it would be for people that enter multiple games ( brawl / Melee / 64 ) not people who enter singles and doubles of the same game. Give it time to work out I am only putting it out there for a response.
