So I was playing that Melee today. Getting my *** whooped by some decent players. By the end of the night I remembered how to dash dance correctly and drop through platforms lol so I was beating them near the end.

Entering for Melee singles?? Maybe! If so I'm making it to 2nd round pools at least.

lmao @ forensic decryption.

I missed the last Apex meeting so I dunno what the current situation is on 9B but I'm sure something is being worked out hopefully.
Hey if you're entering Melee, I will too. Roy all day BABY

so, taking bets on highest placing Non-US/Ally player. Actual player and placing.

I say kakera gets 3rd place. Is Q-bee coming or no? If so I say Q-bee for 3rd place instead.
Really? You think Kakera will place higher than Nietono?!? Out of the people on the confirmed list I'd say Nietono > Otori / Kakera > Rain in terms of how they'll place at Apex.

LET'S GOOO!!!!

Put me in Shiz's/PP's pools guys. Once I get that shine in Falco dittos ALL stocks will be lost!
Wow, I can just envision you shine comboing somebody so hard that when you land the kill shot, all four heads at the bottom disappear at once lol.
Don't worry bro, ill let you get that 2nd seed at least.
Yo... this swag is off the charts right now.
Even if PP was having a seizure, he'd atleast 3 stock Keitaro.
This cold-blooded mofo.. lol

lol mm your Falcon vs my MK all on FD son!! You're not allowed to drink this time though.

@ PP: I'd be brainless to mm you lol. We could have a 3 stock mm, as in every match you 3 stock me you win it and if I take out at least 2 stock I win the match :D Or pretty much you kill yourself twice and we begin the matches. What you think? ;D

Would you like to share something with the rest of the class? <.<
Did Shiz quit or something? Has been a while since I've seen him at anything.

Lol yeah 5 is cool
Sweet :D

As for any Rutgers students or Apex attendies that happen to live around Rutgers, there will be Brawl and Melee smashfests going on every week on Rutgers from September to December. I'll make a thread about it soon.

Well Shiz has pretty much retired from the game yeah. The last thing I saw him at was a tourney in April. He hasn't regularly played the game in a long time. I'm not sure if he has any interest in attending this. You'd probably have to ask his bro about that(I'm not sure if he comes on swf as much either nowadays lol).

I've never seen Calzorz not sandbag in MMs over here though =/

DAT NAMESEARCH :p

i always use to sandbag in mm's haha

and yea i have quit for now but i might return ( cant see it atm ) if i travel just to meet a few peeps occosionally i might just go mk as hes easy to play and i dont touch brawl outside of tournys for like 4 months now or 5

u.k still has anaky and kasper if he still plays but they lack matchup experiance in some matchups (not going to as many europe tournys as me) they can still place though

I still think Javi is one of the most elite Foxs in the world. Under Mango and Jman, in my opinion.

I really hope he's 100% at Apex! I can't wait to see him play!

It's probably too late now, but I think to give more importance to the road to apex tournaments there should have only been a single round of pools at this tourney, instead of multiple pools where your qualifications point are only good for the first round.

Simply put the first round of pools doesn't have half as much an influence on whether or not you get into bracket as the 2nd round does. At evo 2011 there was only a single round of pools, that way the points people earned from the evo qualification were a huge fricken deal. The road to apex tournies won't have that same influence, honestly the way things are I don't think it'll be too different from a regular seeding at a national. Just thought this was worth saying.

From what I know, you must register online so you should try to have somebody else pay for you via credit card and pay them the cash afterwards.

The sooner the better as there will likely be price increases soon.

not saying any of this is wrong, but I do want to point out what I believe are a few overlooked factors in this example.

evo tourneys have literally multiple thousands of people. And pools for that tournament was (and might be the same case for all big SF tourneys) run with normal double elim bracket rules. where each pool was the size of a small smash national. (128) Which exacerbated the whole 'EVO points are a big deal thing', As opposed to smash tourneys that run round robin style pools. IMO, this tourney still wont be big enough to run double elim. feasibly in pools. and one round of pools basically means that youre going to have to run 8 man pools only 1st place gets out or something crazy like that.
