You guys seem to be seriously underestimating attendance. I think its a foregone conclusion that this will be the largest tournament ever for both Melee and Brawl....

Last week of registration generally doubles the registrants. Even more for Melee than Brawl it feels like (us old men are slow to the punch lol....also Melee players tend to use smashboards a lot less i've noticed).

Melee is cracking 400. Believe.

..You don't pay interest on those lol what? I have one in my wallet and on the back it says: "Funds do not expire". You don't even have to pay tax to buy one.

If you need $10 to buy something online it makes perfect sense to get a visa gift card. You are acting like it is a big deal to walk into a store and buy one, it's as easy as just handing the cashier a $10 bill.

Yeah also in NJ, you pay a $4.95 fee in additon to the amount the card is. So getting a $50.00 Visa gift card costs me $54.95, no tax but that's the trade off.

But for the whole morning, who would want to watch an old school round robin? PC KDJ chudat azen chillin isai wes cjack? (All confirmed) That's sort of a lot so maybe minus one or 2 of those players?

so, i'm still semi-salty from 10 months ago. i should've been in r2 pools at pound (blunted, vanz, harriettheguy wtffff grrrr). the mm's i scheduled in salt from back then were ranmaru and bigwenz i think lol. a lots changed from my ganon since then (or at least i'd like to think it has), but i'm still willing to take on anyone else who didn't make it out of r1 at pound V lol.

i also still think it'd be cool to have some sort of amateur bracket for this for melee on saturday, but since the same thing can't happen for brawl, and we probably don't have time/setups for it, i can understand if that's not a reasonable thing to look for.

Well within our allotted Melee setups on saturday, we basically can do whatever we want. The thing is deciding as a group what we want to do with saturday. So far I've suggested an OG old school round robin. We just need to collectively decide what we want to do if we're not content with just friendlies the whole time.
