I think it's kinda interesting how when talking about media, "golden age" often refers not to when something was the best, but rather when the medium really started first getting popular enough to be mainstream and when people didn't really know what worked so they just experimented.

Interesting to think about how imagination when playing video games has changed. Back in the day when the Atari and probably NES were current, people were probably expected to put some work in when playing games, probably imagining something closer to the what's on the boxart as what's "actually" happening in the game world and that the things on the TV screen are just a representation. Pong is a tennis match and Asteroids is a ship in space. But now, when retro pixel art is seen as a distinct aesthetic in its own right, people think about what's happening in these games much more literally even if they know the proper context for them. Pong is two rectangles and a square and Asteroids is a triangle and some weird circles.

Mario RPGs are very well titled. You know exactly what you're gonna get with them. Super Mario RPG? It's an RPG with Super Mario. Paper Mario? It's Mario but paper. Mario and Luigi? The protagonists are Mario and Luigi. They are truly shining examples.

Shuffle a card deck
The player who goes first goes first
Each player draws a card from the deck, then the player to their right draws
If a player draws the 7 of Diamonds then they lose and do not keep drawing
If a player draws the 3 of Clubs then they win and the game concludes

This will make like a million dollars.

Wonder which one of the major animated movie studios could make the best adult/R-rated animated movie. Dreamworks seems like the instinctual pick, though they could suffer from John-K-But-Not-About-The-Pedophilia Syndrome where the limits result in a better product by forcing them to be creative, and we don't know which side of Dreamworks's coin flip quality it would land on. Pixar could probably do something pretty interesting with it, but I could also see them having to force an R-rating instead of it being a natural part of the movie. Illumination's would probably just be a regular Illumination film but with blood and an expanded roster of bodily functions that they use as jokes.
