I hate fantasy settings where you've got magic and technology but they're at war with each other or something. Like magic and technology working together is just so cool it feels like a waste to shoehorn a conflict between them.

You ever think it's weird how aggressively some casual players react to competitive rulesets disabling certain things when they have displayed no indication of wanting to play competitively? Like they are offended by the sheer existence of someone playing with rules like that
Open sourcing popular games brings so much creativity and longevity to the game it's unreal. Just look at Doom and even the Mario 64 decomp.
People need to learn that "the popular opinion is that this is good/the popular opinion is that this is bad", "I think that this is good/I think that this is bad", "I like this/I do not like this" are all separate things.

I think it's really funny how the Mythbusters video game special that heavily featured Doom 3 got delayed so much that Doom 3 was over 10 years old and irrelevant at the point it was released. And not just that, it was released in 2015, only one year before the really popular 2016 reboot.

I really like how Serious Sam 2 looks. It looks like the 2005 web 2.0 glossy aestheric thing a game could possibly be. This feels the fake game that's in the ads on Miniclip or some character on a show is playing but real.
I find it funny how the Spongebob episode where Patchy gets hyped up to see an episode and then gets disappointed was itself hyped up and the general opinion is that it's one of the weaker early episodes

I was thinking about how Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games worked in-universe when I had the thought of Mario and Sonic being some sort of video game "actors" and are doing promotion stuff for their games. Then I had the thought of what the real world equivalent would be and I thought of MCU and DC actors in their character costumes doing Olympic games against each other
Apparently Fortnite is adding Fall Guys. Not like a Fall Guys skin or cosmetic or something but like they're adding a mode that is basically just exactly the Fall Guys game but you can use Fortnite's tools to create courses and stuff. Cashregister9's comment about Fortnite trying to seem like "The Video Game™" at the expense of it's own identity seems really relevant.
When I was a kid I was really scared of the movie where Elmo turns green because I (probably) had a dream where there was a commercial for it where it started with a kid shouting "Elmo's green!" and then there were a bunch of kids and muppets crying and a muppet monster ate the word "GREEN" with the sound effects of kids crying and weird singing also from kids. I don't know if this was just a dream or an actual commerical I misinterpreted really badly as a kid
