CTR is the only remake I can think of where they did the opposite of "turning the fancy HUD into a generic bar".

I had a dream where the Avatar (bald not blue) Switch game was going to be localised for the UK, but because people hated it so much they reskinned it and rebranded it under the name "Warframe" (no relation whatsoever) to prevent Nickelodeon brand damages - and then half-way through the dream the source game of Warframe changed to the new Zelda, but also the gameplay was a tactical RPG with sumo/Smash KO mechanics?

Something really weird I see in political discourse about representation in media is "Oh, you're just appealing to single digit% of the population"
OK, I get that numbers are hard to comprehend, but surely anyone would be able to tell that "1% of the population", even at a national scale, is an absolutely massive number. (and even then it's a lowball to say LGBT people are 1% of the US population... well, not really a low ball, just a lie.)
I'm watching a video about the Disney Parks IP discourse, and it's really interesting how much this mirrors Smash discourse, or at least my takes on modern Smash. There's a lot of talk about whether rigid source-accuracy is good, how much an IP ride should appeal to those who don't like or know the IP, "I know that I clapped", faster-horses mentality, e.t.c.

Have the people who ask for a Pac-Man World moveset for Pac-Man actually played Pac-Man World? Pac-Man's movelists in those games work really well for what they are, but in the context of a Smash moveset they read like a strawman of Hal moveset design made by a fan of Namco moveset design. I'm a strong supporter of the NASB1 moveset design philosophy, but even I have to draw the line at giving Pac-Man a ground pound, projectile throw, and spin-dash as his whole special set.

Nintendo suing Palword for Poke Ball patents instead of the actual recorded asset-tracing is a type of practical idiocy I don't think I've seen from a major corporation before. I've seen corporations be evil before, I've seen them be uninformed about things that seem obvious outside of the capitalist bubble, I've seen their power be outsmarted by smaller entities, but I've never seen them just... come up with a stupid plan for something easy to win. Owning a gun but walking into a knife fight with bare fists.
People really forget that all the cool 80s-through-2000s aesthetics we're nostalgic for now were considered "corporate" at the time. I'm just barely old enough to remember when people said that about what we now call "Neo-UPA", certainly remember people taking about Frutiger Aero in that manner, and if you've been exposed to any satirical 90s content whatsoever you'd know just how bad the backlash against "x-treme" aesthetics was.
