Outside of datamines, the NASB leak meta is almost entirely "find a licensed Nickelodeon game too obscure to have gotten a proper OST upload on YouTube, rip a single song, call it a leak".

Indie games can leak, especially when it's a collab with a corporation, it's happened many times before - but you can't really build a Smash-sized leak speculation scene out of one.

The way tilts and smashes work in Smash are such a weird remnant - it was a control scheme designed for the N64 controller with its giant analogue joystick, but doesn't really adapt well to any non-phallic controller.

It's kinda surprising there aren't any travelling stages in NASB given how many of the Smash stage archetypes that usually don't appear in other platform fighters made it in. (There's a surprisingly large amount of big stages, and even a scrolling stage)

Now that Another Universe is done, I kinda want to start another creation thread. I feel I was a little too controlling on the first version of the cartoon Smash, (though I still stand by adding anime as being a bad idea) and generally had a hard time keeping up with my own thread. If I was to do a new creation thread it'd have to be something I'm super passionate about, but also isn't extremely niche.

I can 100% understand criticising NASB for the lack of items in what is at the end of the day a kids' game, but not for the lack of ultimate/Final Smash moves - ultimate moves have historically not really worked in platform fighters (including casual Smash), and while you could find a way to pull it off, NASB isn't really the place since it's whole gimmick is being super fast and super offense-based - when Reptar can deal 30% damage with a (roughly) 15-frame uncharged down B, what use would he have for 5-second long building topple that deals 70%?

If Masked Man got in Smash it would be really, really hard to make out the Smash showrunners in fanfiction as the good guys - not really an argument against him (though I still think that's a really bad idea), but the ethics elephant in the room of reviving a dead child and forcing him to relive the most traumatic stage of his short life on live TV while in the presence of his brother would be extremely hard to ignore in a slice-of-life "Smash Mansion" setting.
