I just realized that Kairi from Kingdom Hearts has a lot in common with Yuri Sakazaki from Art of Fighting.
- Started out as the damsel in distress
- Received formal training from a master with much more experience in their fighting style, learning at least enough for self-defense
- Went mano a mano against the big bad of the franchise, only for the fight to be cut short by circumstances beyond their control (assuming Yuri’s story in Art of Fighting 2 was canon)
- Both share a desire to prove they can fight to protect who they cherish
I know “consume product” is a meme and everything, but to be completely honest…I wish we could just do that. In an ideal world, the industry would treat their workers fairly while making things consumers like.

Every day I wish the Switch was as powerful as the PS4 so we could get some more ports from that and other systems.
I wish brand new games still being made on arcade machines were as widespread as they were back in the 80’s and 90’s. And I mean real arcade games, not those stupid claw games you see nowadays.
