Wish there was a way to mix up the zones in Sonic Mania. It’s obviously much too late right now, but I would appreciate it. All the fun zones like Green Hill. Chemical Plant and Studiopolis are at the beginning, and then at the end you’re stuck playing decent zones like Oil Ocean, Lava Reef, Titanic Monarch

It still baffles me how completely out of place the music in Steam Gardens in Super Mario Odyssey feels. Apparently they were inspired by the 1960s because of how Steam Gardens was inspired 60s sci-fi films. But then shouldn’t they have music inspired by 1960s SCI FI and not like something from a 60s beach movie

I think most of the character designs in Chrono Trigger are pretty good, except for the main character himself, Crono. He’s got too many differing vibrant colours and it just looks like there wasn’t any clear direction when Toriyama was designing him

People who say Mother 3 should be localized always seem to say “The themes aren’t that dark,” “Magypsies aren’t really offensive” or “Just give it a T Rating”

That’s really oversimplifying this whole situation. It’s a bright, colourful game made by Nintendo that looks appropriate for kids. Of course kids are going to buy it, leading to angry parents. The original Earthbound is rated T on virtual console and there were a lot of kids who got it and played it, and Mother 3 is like a hundred times darker than that game

I think Majora’s mask does everything Ocarina of Time does better like the setting, dungeons and time mechanic. It’s a bit of a shame it’s mostly considered a smaller game that’s too rushed and short to be anything notable.

It’s fine if you prefer Ocarina of Time, I just wish Majoras Mask was seen this way more often

I really don’t mind Sakurai taking a lot of inspiration for Sonic’s moveset from Sonic the Fighters. Most of the issue with Sonic in Smash is that he feels bland to look at, and his expressions barely change. His moveset is fine, except for maybe his side special and a couple other moves

It’s funny when people say modern Sonic games are worse because the have bull**** level design. Sure, they do but... Have you even played a classic Sonic game? They’re fun but always have unfair, stupid elements that can only really be described as bull****.

Modern Sonic games do have a lot of problems, but most of the time the level design isn’t any amount of unfair as classic games.

I’m not 100% certain about this, so take it with a grain of salt but apparently a while ago there was a visual novel that had a line praising the LGBTQ community, and showing respect for them. People accused the translators of adding the line to further their own political agenda... Despite the fact that the line was literally in the original Japanese translation.
