It's a random user. Just look at his posts, and he has no title under his username.

Yah he made it look pretty official but it's definitely just a poll posted by a regular member of the forum over there. At best, Brawl winning by enough of a margin could catch the attention of a higher-up at MLG... but I doubt it, and even then it's not likely at all that they would reconsider at this point.

Yeah, you're voting for the "Other" option that most Melee players didn't even bother using to try and have SSBM on the circuit. Good stuff. Thanks for being contributive to the overall smash community. I do wish there was a Melee option though. I voted for Brawl because it's good for everyone here and I'd like to see it in MLG again next year.

What people should understand is that, NO MATTER WHICH of the smash games is on the circuit, it's GOOD FOR US.
