@john im not very good at advice but from what i saw it seems you have trouble figuring out when to go after your opponent or when to help your teammate (i watch u vs orly/kels). there were a few times when ur teammate was in a bad position against kels and orly was relatively far from you but u opted to fight orly instead of helping ur teammate out, even just going near the two is fine imo, since controlling space is very important as peach in doubles. on the flipside, i saw one part where u opted to chase another onstage opponent instead of an easy edgeguard on someone already offstage. since u were near the offstage guy ur partner should take care of the onstage guy. in doubles the biggest thing is not seeing the field as two 1on1s, and spacing urself relative to ur partner is important. hope that made sense and helped a little...

@quaz, ill just note a couple of the big things i noticed. its fine to play defensive but you need to punish harder, both when you get a hit in and when an opportunity to hit ur opponent presents itself. as for the first type of punish, i mean not just continuing combos, but also work on tech chasing, punishing bad rolls, bad get-up attacks, etc. try to develop the reaction for such things, and figure out when to punish with a grab vs dash attack vs aerial. i noticed a lot of times where u hit him, but instead of continuing to pressure him u ran away or shielded. those are missed opportunities. as for the second type of punish, there were times where chexr would fall for your bait or leave himself open but again u didnt take advantage of it, like when u wd back and he aerials, or missed smash attacks, etc. you do a lot of good waiting, and chexr did some bad things in response, but u didnt punish them for that initial hit. be more confident, and try to react better. watch the set again and try to identify missed opportunities.
also there were some tech skill errors, but thats just practice so whatever lol. hope this makes sense.

^ if u mean inputs i like to be holding down on the control stick already, then let go as soon as i press y. i use the top part of my thumb to hit y and the bottom part to hit a immediately after, so no need to move ur fingers.

I feel like you're rather good at baiting Fox, but not at controlling space, and making him afraid of your range. Many times, I noticed you in one corner, just FC bairing, trying to catch him running into you, and he didn't really fall for that. I also noticed a few times where you ran from him, giving him space, when you could started pressure.

0:13 is an example where you could've probably cover the air with a full jump nair, catching him while he was trying to get on those platforms.

Don't be afraid to put on offensive pressure.

That's rather short, but classes call me...

Just from the first like 1-2 minutes...it doesn't seem like you are thinking about your opponent. You are just running away and doing random things. It isn't about running in and attacking someone, but about positional pressure.

If you are across the stage doing random float cancel aerials, fox won't run into them and will likely opt to laser. But if you cut off some of the space in between you and fox, the fox will feel more obligated to make an approach.

I also feel like you weren't reacting to fox on tech chases. You were expecting 1 thing and when he didn't do that, you froze up. I saw that you floated for a tech chase expecting the roll away and he teched in place where you could have DJC baired..or just FC bair him, but you still went from the fair covering the roll away. Putting yourself in positions to cover more than 1 option is better than going for the hard punish that only covers 1, unless it is a great read. (this was just 1 example...there were a lot of other things you did, like bair->full hop bair, that just felt forced or robotic. Try to think about your opponent more)

Don't act like you have to run away from everything, peach is a character that benefits from trades alot more than other characters, especially when you are at low percents.

Try to react out of shield better, you waited to nair oos until 2 nairs and he was already gone.

Be more aggressive.

The fox just fell with a bunch of aerials all of the time and you could have dash attack a lot of them, but you opted to run away and pick a turnip...and get often punished.

You down smashed him...and he didn't tech..and you ran away. Once again, pressure isn't only on shield, positional pressure is very advantageous for peach...and every character.

Yeah, that was another thing. You didn't seem conscious of your opponent, which is really important in this game.

I had my own question, but forgot it... *sigh*

I've never actually fought a campy Falco, but I'll see if I can say some things about your vids, baka. Just need to watch them, first.

EDIT: 1st stock of second match...made me school-girl happy.

here's another singles match of mine. tell me why i suckkkkk
judging from you match you don't think you suck, you just want people to watch it :p

anyways i don't have too much advice...

dash dance more, it's hard to do vs falco but very important for finite spacing.
uhh, it's good to untumble as you're falling down, because you have more options that way (airdodge mostly)
don't choose brinstar if you don't know how to use it LOL. Seriously, you need some practice on that stage if you want it to work. Splitting the stage, knowing how the lava works, etc is very important

also be wary of what angles you are approaching falco from. Oftentimes i just see you land into his upsmash/bairs/whatever because you approach without a jump or a float as you're coming down.

anyways win next time.. matt sucks against peach

falco is so dumb :(

i guess i'll watch your matches and see what you do
