I didn't have to fight HugS for HugS Suit Samus.. I was using his suit at Will's Backyard Brawl a few months back, wearing my original z-air tag. He asked me why I was using his color (he mains ROB now) so I told him he wasn't using it, so I decided to keep the pink Samus alive for SoCal. He said that would be a problem, because the only pink Samus to hold down for SoCal should be HugS, and since he's retired from melee, the suit itself is retired. I asked him, "What are we gonna do, then?" And we came to a compromise -- I get to wear HugS suit Samus, but I had to lose my z-air tag and now, whenever I play pink Samus, I have to wear HugS's tag. You can see it in my matches vs j4pu and xoxokev.. haha.

That's the story behind that!

That's cool. You used the tag when you and I brawled as well. It's like reading something from a comic book. You have Jay Garrick, who was originally The Flash, and then Barry Allen is endowed with super-speed after a bolt of lightning shattered some chemicals that land on him. He picks up the name, "The Flash" after his comic hero, Jay Garrick.

The "z-air" tag was also used by Orichalcum, a European Samus main. When he showed some of his videos on here, I thought he was fighting n00b. I think n00b was also confused.

I'm Serious About This

I understand what might be thought of about me after I post this, but I need to be serious on this situation. I've let this thread run for thirteen pages. I even left a few posts in here. I'm guilty like everyone else, but the way this looks on me is probably magnified versus the rest of you. For some time I let people here talk and let this thread be a general discussion or whatever. However, I cannot allow this any longer. It's kind of been bothering me, to be honest. So, what am I to do? I'm actually thinking about locking this thread. I know, I'm taking away everyones fun.

I said it before, but the general discussion is for things like Social Chat and stuff. I do not know what happened to our Samus XatChat, but I don't see why we cannot use this and/or a Social Group to talk about life or the funny stuff that has happened when brawling with your friends. I am in two Social Groups. I was invited to these because I was granted modhood, and it has been at least a month, and we have nineteen pages. That's good, considering the Social Group was made on March 5, 2009. Also, we kind of went dead on discussing the important stuff.

This thread has killed a lot of spam threads and brought the boards more at ease. I would strongly suggest allowing the rule to be broken under "Special" circumstances. I do not believe closing this board would be a positive inpact at all, but rather a lot of people would leave or be discouraged once more.

Just my IMO.

A Social Group isn't offsite, though, and this thread hasn't killed off other spam threads. Funnily, the Peach board has an offline section to chat, as well as a XatChat. This thread has only brought spam into one area. This means that you guys are still being allowed to spam, even though it isn't allowed. I cleaned up the unnecessary threads, and it reduced before people started begging me to let spam roam. As for the people leaving, tell me why they left. Was it because they actually cared for this board, or because they wanted to spam for fun?

It's not even April in California yet. Dryn isn't the type to joke even in the spirit of a pseudoholiday. From my personal experience with him, he's just a plain ol' jerk killjoy.

Fortunately for the future of the Samus boards, the SWF staff has appointed me as the newest moderator (as indicated by my red name and awesomely truthful user title). I made my argument about why some social lulz are necessary to the boards to reduce hostility and promote a community identity as a collective of competitive gamers.. and they liked what they heard.

I hope everyone is as excited as I am to spam all the way to 2010.
