It's -25 on a powershield and -18 on block normally. -18. That is very easy to punish. It's not MK's fault that everyone is dumb and bad.
Fix'd.

Ftilt him. If you powershield its a free smash.

Snake owns Marth pretty hard if he just camps with grenades and stays safe. It's so easy. I'm actually thinking of going Snake against Marth players instead of MK because of the extreme lack of work I have to do and amount of hits I can take before dying.
I don''t believe you should be bringing your personal experience as evidence.
More as in possibility.
I think MK ***** him harder.

Also, whatever Spadefox said, I second. I haven't read some of it, but I'm just going to assume he's more right than everyone else that posted recently.
Even myself?
I am disappointed.

Marth's most damaging move on meta from a grab release is tippered nair, it's just HARDish to do. (Around 110% tippered at the centre of FD). Dolphin slash is used mostly at ledges, and most characters will be dieing from it at 130%...

Marth has set weaknesses, but I'd say most would agree Spadefox is an over-exaggerating noooob <3 (especially the noob part). He'll always be the connection between S tier and A tier; he's very very good, but not great; and a lot of characters cannot really claim to be above him with such a notion in place.

Inui should go Snake; Neo supposibly destroys Candy's Snake <3 (some would say Candy's the second best Snake in North America), and Inui is pretty bad, what he get at Apex? Broken bone john placement? He hasn't got a chance! :p

I wish people would stop talking about characters that don't affect the metagame.

Also stop letting SpadeFox bait you guys.

It's disgusting.

He simply dislikes Marth. He would have to be a fool to really think Marth is bad.

Anyone with a brain knows Marth isn't bad.

Even Inui as much of a clown as he is.

There is simply no reason to pick him.

I also wish people would stop saying he is overrated. No one overrates him. Dude doesn't win. He makes no dents in the tournament scene.

How the hell is he overrated?

He has a buttload of 6/4's and maybe two 7/3's and like one 8/2. He doesn't demolish anyone good.

What I REALLY hate though is when poeple say that thier character should be above Marth, like it's some accomplishment.

Are you ****ing serious?

gtfo with that garbage.

agreed, it has nothing to do with being quick, my reflexes are mediocre and I don't have problems with this...you just have to know what your options are.

now blocking it in the first place, amazing reflexes may help :p

afro IMO, but candy is amazing, I definitely don't think snake is any better or easier against marth than MK, maybe against not great marth's...but MK has the easier time with him I think

I have much more trouble with a Snake who knows what they're doing. At lower levels of play hes easier but at higher levels I think MK isn't that hard. DDD gets a lot harder though lol

Marth's Dolphin Slash is considered a reliable killer? At what %?

....on what character?....in what game?
Don't remember the percents, but it's actually got good horizontal knockback. I'll try to run some tests, but it's a frame 5 move, 4 of which are invincible, and it kills fairly early. Don't get me wrong, it's situation, but it can be used to counter combos, chaingrabs, and is a frame 5 OOS, so it's pretty easy to get in. Just don't let it get baited.

And of course, don't forget about off of grab release.

I wish people would stop talking about characters that don't affect the metagame.

Nah, he more shares your general cynicism about Marth and thinks a lot of Marth players overrate him.

I think he should give the Marth players more credit, but his actual estimation of where Marth belongs isn't too far off, it's not like he's saying that Marth belong is G tier or anything.

Also, whatever Spadefox said, I second. I haven't read some of it, but I'm just going to assume he's more right than everyone else that posted recently.
Hey, you're mean. Other people said smart things too. *pouts* lol j/k

me and neo go even =] but my opinion in the snake marth matchup might be alil biased b/c of the fact that the only marth ive played is neo and hes like no other marth ive seen....but its not easy at all for me.....neo used to **** me really bad....it took me forever to learn the matchup...and even now we still go even

I'm the silly one who thinks Snake is Marth's hardest match up, whilst MK is 55:45 (being super super stage dependant... In MK's favour... always); Marth dont get ***** on Final D, Smashville and to a lesser extent BF with GUTS (COACH~EEEE~~); and stage striking always puts Marth at a 'slight' disadvantage first round; it's when Marth actually loses the first round that the chances of taking the set goes to like 95:5 :(.

Snake on the other hand doesn't die.
EVER. Unless you have Metaknight's neutral air or shuttle loop.

INSANE I TELL YOU, I AM DEFINITELY INSANE.

Ok, I love the big guy to death, but wtf is Bowser doing way up in D Tier (almost in C Tier) when he's absolutely dying in the tournament rankings?
Are his match-ups really THAT good?
What the hell. "Way up"? lol. Seriously, man, D Tier is already made of really terrible characters, that are on the brink to Low Tier. There's no need to push Bowser further down. Except for Pokémon Trainer noone of these below him has the abilities to overtake him.

can this thread be about EL and me wanting to get all up on his junk

because it really should
:( I wish you would say that about me, too. ;-;

That was a friendly match... that we didn't even finish...

Does he even use Falcon in-tourneys? If yes how far does he get?
Yes he does.

As for how he does... He does okay. Nobody in vegas plays gay enough for him to be ***** first round, so he usually can get pretty far.

What's with all the Zelda talk the last few days. Everyone is hating on Zelda too much.

I mean hardly anyone mentions "Wario,Tier,Funny" anymore. It's surprising. :bee:

I have no idea where you get the idea I was talking about Wario, you better read my posts more carefully ;)

But since you brought it up.... Is Wario getting decent representation? I still see DDD, IC, MK, and Snake getting a lot of the more recent tournament placement.

No, but that doesn't make him any worse.

Wario has far too little players properly representing him, and those always place constantly well in the Top ranks.
