I promise, we're all nice. Except for maybe Dphat. :p <3 Andy. Haha.

Zac, Dojo, someone... Please post next to my contact info to not call me cause I'll be at work unless you have questions between 8 and 9 am. Why do y'all always pick days that I have to work to hold this stuff. >.<

Oh, I'm also in the process of looking for a bigger venue, so if you come and you're like "It's too small... blah blah blah." Well, it's going to get bigger. So there.

Also please bring setups or parts of setups. Please. And Melee players please bring setups or parts of setups so this runs as smoothly as possible.

Thanks.

Can we collect the bounty if, rather than beating them in Smash, we ensure that person can't continue playing?

I think FD is better for falco but i ban that then i generally get taken to japes. its because your down B reflector allows you to beat my camp game when you stand on a side platform and Phantasm allows you to get places quickly and the only way i can chase you is to jump to the other platform but by then you've already got away.

thats just the OLI MU anyways

edit: and the really high ceiling makes olimar's up smash harder to kill with

great so side B can be used... fox/falco side B is probably one of the least prioritized moves in his move set. literally any move could get him out of it.

as for the reflector, that could be used anywhere.

in order for olimar to approach you on the side platforms he must jump and oli is so slow in the air it would be hard to hit you and camp you with down B.

as for side B i dont mean it as a move to hurt olimar, just oli is so floaty i would hafta chase you threw the air but your fall speed would beat mine and so would your ground speed so you could get away from a lot of grab situations.

So uhhh... I'm going to this it seems.

Anybody want to team?

For Melee that is, Brawl would just be embarassing.

I will make a complete fool of myself in Brawl- though :)

Yo everyone.

I'll be bringing a tv or 2 with some Brawls and wiis.

Somebody get in contact with me if they expect/need more than 2 TVs. We have them, but if they're not necessary, we won't bring them.

it could be just me, but if i were to pick japes. i would go for chainthrow spike into the water when the time ends in 5 or 7. but that could be just me.

Scav's going an he asked me if I wanted to go with. I figured why not. However he's not actually entering so I was without teammate.

Though it will be difficult to pry myself away from Mass Effect 2 on Saturday...

Optional Rule Change:

Since there are 7 starter stages, would you guys like to try Pictochat as a starter in place of Final Destination?

I know it doesn't fit the typical rules as a starter, but I feel a lot of TX players enjoy it and end up going there as a counterpick. I, personally, tend to strike FD every single time and I know a lot of other players do as well. I figured I might as well put on a more useful stage as a starter (ITS A STARTER, NOT A NEUTRAL) And since there are 7 starter stages, it's not like I'd be taking away from one of your previous strikes.

I've asked Dojo, Beah, Billy, and myself and they all like the idea so far. If big name players don't like the change then I won't do it, since you guys tend to win the money at these tourneys. Also, for all you Diddy mains out there complaining... seriously how often does your opponent (assuming he's not new to the competitive scene) NOT strike FD? You might have a chance of them leaving Picto open =P

I hate that idea. I already have to play on a horrible stage for my character with 7 starters putting pictochat on as a starter would just mean I would always lose the 1st game :/.

I also don't understand why Delphino is on instead of Castle Seige as a starter :/.

You have to think about a broader perspective though. Sure, maybe it sucks for your character, but how does it benefit others? It may benefit some people more than others, but maybe it's less than the system before.

I do agree though, CS instead of Delfino makes more sense for a starter IMO. Actually, if you are to replace FD with a stage, make that Delfino, and have the other stage CS. Pictochat is more "Counterpickish" than either Delfino or CS.

I'm so confused at all of this :/. What is the point? Trying new things?

Can't be making things more fair lol. Please keep FD. Pictochat is banned like everywhere but here. Having as a starter is...wtf lol.

Edit: If you take away FD can you make it so that we stage strike before picking characters? Otherwise I'm not able to play my main first round lol because IC's are absolutely horrible on anything non neutral :/. They are even bad on Yoshis/PS1 lol taking away FD and putting pictochat is like..instant loss :/.

No trust me, I agree I think Pictochat taking over FD's spot is a terrible idea. I'm just saying that you shouldn't base judgement on a swap like that solely on how your character is affected by it.

Like as Wario, I'm not affected that much by having Pictochat in place of FD. Actually, I would probably benefit from having PC over FD as a starter. However considering other things, I think it would be a mistake. So while I would probably benefit from such a change, I don't let that potential benefit affect whether I agree with the change.
