time for history lesson

back in the day ther wer several people who could top Cao.. Bringer, Tristan, Shaz. Then ther was the next tier of myself, radiance, freddo, emily, sloth. Then it went kulla, berimbau, jaz, scrubs, king kong etc. So many players that all u nublets know nothing about.

Oli back then is around the same area as tedeth/redact/atticus/scrubs etc now. aka they'd have to get a pretty lucky bracket to place top 5. Solid players, but not quite ther yet. We all wubs SA.Dave, but back in 07 we used to **** him, which was when he would go almost even with oli in the s.a tournies.

In 2008 Cao said he was. he's only just come back to the scene and has been a bit rusty so hopefully he gets his full skill back.
it's not so much about 'getting his skill back' as it is 'catching up to the current the australian standard.' if he played like he did in 2008, today, he won't place top 8

I've decided to enstate some melee taxes, all of the collected funds for these taxes will be split between the mango fund, and the redact alcohol fund.

CONTROLLER RENTAL FEE: $5 A MATCH

ok so I've decided that rather than have being use their own controllers, because thats too convenient and logical, It's best I introduce a rental controller system. We have a nice array of controllers available (3 currently, teams is cancelled because I only have 3).

First up we have the black one where the c-stick is pretty meh and the down direction on the control stick doesnt work. I hope you don't like fast falling or crouch cancelling.
Secondly we have some madcatz one I'm not sure it works. But feel free to try it anyway (and by try i mean rent then try, no try before buy)
And last but not least, thanks to Dekar we have the Turboshock-Thrustmaster-Firestorm. No explanation necessary.

TV FEE: $5 for 5 minutes.

Ok so even if you bring a tv, you gotta pay this fee, deal with it.

SEAT FEE: $5 for 5 minutes.

I hope you like standing, or have a big wallet (in which case it should be heavy enough you need to sit down with it, then pay me)

STOCK FEE: $1 dollar a peice

Ok so for every stock you want in a match, you gotta pay $1. If you want more than 1 stock, then well fork it out. Stock does not carry over per match if you do not lose it.

HUNGRYBOX FEE (aka: Back air fee): 50c a back air

So back air is a pretty good move with like every character apart from like Bowser, so you're gonna need to fork out per a back air used, even if it doesn't hit.

LOSING TAX: $10 A LOSS

Ok so losing is for losers, and each time u lose a match u gonna lose money too. I hope you're good

WINNING TAX: $10 A WIN

Ok so if you're winning it means you're closer to the money (or just got the money if you won Grand finals) so i expect you have the ability to spare some cash.

BRAWL TAX: $50 dollars for entering brawl aswell as melee

ok so brawl shouldn't be played, and here's a good reason why unless you love giving me cash.

MULTIPLE TAX TAX: the taxes simply multiply eachother

So if you pay multiple taxes, they will simply multiply upon eachother. EG: you pay for 3 stock, then win a match, you gonna be paying $30 son. Oh you did 8 back airs? make it $120. Oh you sat down aswell AND used a tv AND rented a controller? 125x120, I can't even work that out but i hope you have a credit card.

Theres also other taxes i havent stated here, so I hope you do your research.

so basically, because taxes multiply, I should expect the taxes to halve with every bair I do?

nah the bairs stack, so its like
5 bairs = (0.5 x N)

n being the number of bairs

tv tax + 5 bairs = 5 x (0.5 x N)

I hope you like math, corpse is gonna love dis

Thank man, but theres a calculator tax, which is 2 dollars per a digit, and it stacks rather than adds (aka multiplies)

and then theres the 5 digit tax.

so many taxes

out of interest, will we be seeding prior to the tourney?

it makes sense to get the important part of bracket organized now...

Nova isn't doing pools until the day he starts the tournament. There's gonna be craploads of randoms from reloaded entering aswell, so there's no point seeding prior when they'll have to be re seeded on the day anyway.

haha sorry bro

i went in to panic mode thinking i wouldn't make it cos im dumb, so i booked to safeguard. If it's cool, just cover 70 of it, basically what you'll get refunded from the tiger flight. i'll cover the other $50. I wouldn't expect you to cover anything extra since I booked this one of my own accord.
