Alright, Kalm and I spoke in the Xat. Here's a summation of what we discussed.
Kalm feels the thread is biased towards me in regards to the fact that I am in a more active region with tougher competition. So he feels voting is an improper way to go about things. I can understand where he's coming from.
His proposed method is strictly by tournament results. This, however, is problematic as well. Due to regional discrepancies and seeding, one of us placing higher than the other (unless it's by a dramatic amount, dramatic being an entire bracket level, so 3-4 places or higher) may not be an accurate way to judge things. In this regard, I think placing as well as players fought should be taken into account. Because if a person places high, but got an easy bracket, this doesn't accurately reflect on them, I feel.
Right now, I still think all things should be taken into consideration. I say what I am about to in completel humility, as I do not want to be mistaken as being conceited, so make note of that. Right now, it is Kalm's responsibility to do work and make the effort. Stating only facts, so nobody thinks I am attacking or demeaning them. Kalm was gone for several months. His last full-Ganon tournament was more than 7 months ago. He has not listed any notable achievements as of yet.
In my eyes, I'm being more than fair with the representing I've done and effort I've put forth to not just be an *** and take the spot. Kalm, with your 7-month inactivity, at least, as far as full Ganon goes, I think it's only fair that you either start doing heavy work or concede to the terms of the OP and allow the process to go through by vote. Like I said, this is just me stating how I see things. I implore the people reading this not to get all butthurt and aggressive.
