stos and peterx didn't come to the tourney at all cause stos' parents couldn't give them a drive. i wouldn't have come either if i hadn't bused up friday night. when did people come visit you? cause i didn't hear about that either =P i thought desh was gonna on sunday morning but he left saturday night...and sunday morning no one mentioned anything. so yeah, i dunno. not sure what happened with that. sorry...

Yeah I actually had no idea what I was really getting into. I found a few clients who liked my pricing (it was **** good for the basically flawless job that I provide.. $1.50 per minute of tape. A 20 minute tape would cost $30. Most would charge 2-5x as much.

Anyway the guy who contacted me was an editor of a small TV blog. I believe it was The TV Addict. He met me downtown and he gave me his tape recorder because his recorder couldn't upload to computers. I had to do it manually (locking it in a room beside my computer )

I did teh job and he paid me via Paypal. That's your next thing; most people use paypal. It's pretty secure. However, it was quite possible for the guy to basically just not pay me. There's a small risk you take but if the person is using their real name and works for a company, they're not gonna stiff you because they could ruin their career easily...

next, i'd read some copy editing offers:

mmk, good to know. i might not be trying this anytime soon, but good to know. i think firstly i'm going to try to get a video game tester job this summer. freelance editing could always be done on the side and at any point.

i'd rather be the one contacting others, than putting myself up there, but it seems like it's a good place to go for job opportunities.

Option A) Emphasizes Tournament Organization
Day 1: Signups, Teams Pools, Singles Pools 1, Singles Pools 2, Crews
Day 2: 32 Team Bracket, 32-Man Singles Bracket, end early for friendlies and MMs

Option B) Emphasizes event variety and schedule flexibility
Day 1: Signups, Teams Bracket, Singles Pools, Singles 64-Man Bracket
Day 2: Crews, Low Tier events, friendlies, MMs

It would seem that most prefer Option B (myself included), so we don't necessarily have to stay on Sunday or would could just leave whenever we wanted to... it's much more flexible from our perspective. So be sure to vote for Option B in the thread everyone! Even the people who aren't going
