Squirtle, Mario, Popo, Lucas, and in some cases GaW. I'm not sure about Pikachu.

I was just wondering: how ligit is it to ftilt > jab > ftilt > jab > repeat?

Ftilt gives us enough time to grab which is slower than a jab. Also, a jab gives us enough time to grab which is slower than ftilt. Since the ftilt knocks opponents upward and jab brings them back down, the combo can continue to higher %s than just ftilt. Would this actually work, or can opponents just DI out of it?
ehhhhhhhhh.... that is very iffy.
Jab has almost no hit stun. The reason why you can grab out of jab is because you can grab a shield (which they usually bring up). I did find not to long ago that you don't have to duck cancel before the f-tilt so it can be 3 attacks right after one another very quickly. Theoretically the f-tilt> jab> f-tilt can work. I just don't trust because I have been punished in the past for trying to do it.
I also believe that there are better options.

None the less... this has potential and if it works I would learn how to be frame perfect with the jab> f-tilt.

I want this list as well. <,<

:EDIT: The list make me sad. I was hoping for a longer one.....
Owell, being able to do it against MK is good enough.

Taken from the German Smash Boards. Unfortunately I don't speak a lick of it, so don't expect to see it in English from me. I'm sure you can figure it out though

Mother Germany said:

Air Release -> Dash Grab:
Meta Knight, Lucas, Schiggy

Air Release -> Dacus (Dash Attack cancelled Up Smash):
Bowser**, Captain Falcon**, Falco**

Air Release -> Tipper Dacus:
Meta Knight (!), Mario, Lucas, Schiggy, Ice Climber, Pikachu, Donkey Kong**, Diddy Kong**, Link**, Ganondorf**, Pit**, King Dedede**, Glurak**, Ike**, Snake**, Sonic**.
Yoshi, G&W, Toon Link, Ness nur auf Halberd.

Air Release -> Triple Hit Dacus (man setzt zum Dacus ein wenig später an):
Meta Knight (!), Pikachu, Zero Suit Samus**

Air Release -> Tipper Up Smash:
Wario

Air Release -> Triple Hit Up Smash:
Wario

Air Release -> Needles:
Meta Knight (!), Pikachu

Air Release -> FTilt:
Wario

Air Release -> FAir:
Ness, G&W

Ground Release -> Dash Grab:
Lucas*, Ness*

Ground Release -> FTilt:
Lucas*, Ness*

Ground Release -> Dash Attack:
Sheik**
Now Everybody say "Thank you Germany".

I haven't verified anything on this list.

Is Luigi's Mansion a good stage for Sheik overall?

I'm planning to enter a tourny tommorrow and I'm gonna use Sheik/Zelda.

honestly I have no clue... FD is a good pick since you can set the pacing really well agianst big characters without projectiles but it still has pretty standard kill zones. Battlefield is always a good sheik stages the plats work well for usmash and utilt and uair. try to stay away from really small stages if you are afraid of small mistakes leading to loss off stocks and larger stages because you percent advantage means so much less on stages like these.

Grandpa= 1/4 and I have German on my dads side of the family. IDK how much but I was told that I am 2/3's German, 1/5 Cherokee and the rest IDK.

Back on to the translated part....

I do know that, but I am German. (I never claimed I knew the language.) My Grandpa is the only one who knows the full language. I just know like some of the basic words (about 50). He came over here before WW2.

I had to Google to get half of the names though....

Luigi Manson is like one of sheik strongest counter pick especially against characters who don't have range attacks that can deal with chain camping and even if they destroy the house the field is large enough so sheik can use her speed to her advantage. Also sheik doesn't having killing problems on that stage since because of the pillers you can decay your ftilt as much as you want, when you want.

Link please.
I didn't read on it. I just tested it because I noticed how low Sheiks grab release is.
Luckily.. we are tall enough that we don't get CG'd by a lot of people. The Snake one scares me though since he is top tier. T-T

If you don't believe me you can power up the Wii and test it yourself.

No. Not at the tourny I went to.

Also, I went there and used Sheik/Zelda and lost first match to a MK player. :laugh: Oh well.

Hey guys im not near organized enough to do this but i thought the idea was worth putting out. Light had a sheik edgeguarding game thread and i thought it might be a good idea to make a thread describing how sheik should go about trying to gimp each individual character or in some cases not try to gimp certain characters (maybe G&W or Meta). It wouldnt take too long to get through each character. Idk just a thought.

Sounds good to me.

It might be covered in the match up thread already though. Perhaps we could just add a "How to Gimp" section under each match up detail.

I wouldn't mind doing it but I won't be here much longer.

Sheik is fast and her attacks follow up into each other well. She can punish many, many openings that most characters without such a degree of speed and mobility cannot. For the most part, she can also keep herself safe from punishment if played carefully.

However, her normal moveset has no disjoints, and her attacks that do aren't usable offensively (needles, chain). She's relatively light, making her easy to KO, and her fall-speed makes her susceptible to several combos, including her very own tilt lock. With the exception of usmash and the possible lead-in from ftilt, she has trouble getting a straight KO, especially against the higher tier characters which are either heavy and sport far-reaching recovery (Snake, Dedede) or very dangerous to edgeguard (Meta Knight).

Snake has a grab release on you guys. We've known about it for a relatively short time.

Fun part is being that it's about as hard to time as your DACUS, otherwise we get jabbed.

However I do think we can dash attack/dacus you. Not 100% sure. I need to go re-check my grab release thread.

(we can also grab release CG a few other characters)

EDIT:
Linky to thread. we can only grab release you

I have a small question regarding Sheik's needles. If you get hit by six of her needles, does that count as one move in the Stale Move Queue, or six? Because it's be pretty sweet if it coutned for six...

I was wondering, since an aerial chain stops horizontal momentum, could you use it to stop your momentum when hit (ex: get hit by a smash > fair to exit tumble animation > chain to stop horizontal movement)?

I have a question......so i've recently decided to pick up a secondary to my Sheik/Zelda. I've narrowed it down to either Marth or DK. Which one do you guys think covers Sheiks matchups better?

Marth does very well vs. G&W, Falco, ROB, and Lucario

DK does very well vs. MK and Snake.
