Armada gets 17th in Brawl?

Tied with MikeHaze, CO18, Atomsk and DSF?
Outplacing Hylian, Kismet, Malcom, Sean, Leepuff, Vex, Reflex, Teba, Inui, AlphaZealot, Pierce, Hungrybox and DMG?

That's imo a much bigger upset than him getting top 3 in Melee, which a lot of us europeans actually predicted. He's clearly the best Melee player in the EU so placing top in Melee wasn't a question. But top 20 in Brawl? I know a good bunch of euopean players, who could beat Armada in Brawl (Gaki, Jumpman, Boku, Luigi Player and Serpit) ... so please don't say thet EU sucks at Brawl, when only two of our Brawl players came to Genesis, one of them outplacing a whole bunch of your top players (and the other one playing Cpt Falcon lol).

Yeah, you're right. But it's still not a little accomplishment. He tied with the 2nd ranked player from NJ, which is considered the strongest region in the world.

I met sooooo many people at this tournament. I don't recall the names of over half the people I met. But they were mostly all cool (except one dude who just had this attitude that pissed me off constantly).

I would give multiple shoutouts, but everyone I met knows I'm a cool dude and that I give a big "SUP" to you all. Can't wait to see everyone at the next big tournament!

The only shoutout I'll give is to Armada, who I was rooting for since he beat DaShizWiz. You beat all the best players in the world at Genesis, you have nothing to be ashamed of. You're sooooo good it's insane. I hope you come back to the States another time so I can cheer you on there, too.

So first you say 6-7 in top 10, which doesn't really mean much considering there are four people who tie for 9th, making the best resolution you can provide as top 12, but then you go ahead and count people who tied for 13th as top 10 and, inexplicably, put Meta Knight by Ally?

Disregarding that last one (I don't know if he played MK or not, but he certainly didn't in finals), you seriously need to check your bracket math.

Armada's zero to death on Mango's puff with a stitch face will probably pop up as a couple hundred people's sigs whenever the vid comes online. Probably the best **** I've ever seen in Melee.

Armada managed to somehow fair me on yoshi's before the GO logo disappeared. He then proceeded to gimp me. That was probably the fastest I've ever been killed. Get ***** me.

I also dthrowed hbox's puff on the side and killed him. In tournament. ****.

We learned from history.

Texas hypes Dojo beating M2K before they'd ever played each other, then M2K 2-stocks Dojo.

Canada hypes Ally beating M2K before the two had ever played each other, then M2K 2-stocks Ally.

So, when Europe hypes their top player beating our top players, it's natural for me to laugh at them. Don't get mad because we thought that Armada wouldn't win...we're just going with the data.

That being said...good ****, Armada. I'm happy to see a Peach place so well.

Fun tournament, although I do think switching between Melee and Brawl can be hard, therefore if there is another Genesis I recommend all Melee one day then all Brawl another day, kind of like at FAST1. You would probably do better at Melee/Brawl if you picked just one of the two...but then you'd make less money. I can't switch back and forth between the two within minutes, so I would agree with your suggestion. GL, Jason.

Because it's your game that caused Melee to become near dead in regions such as mine (MD/VA) since everyone is too busy playing Brawl to make money and hating it while they play it. Melee didn't cause your community to collapse for the better part of a year. It's not like people chanting "Brawl sucks" isn't justified. There's a reason to it. I would have no problems with Brawl if it didn't stop a lot of people from hosting Melee tournies even though they enjoy it more.

His issue isn't that people hate Brawl, it's that they are disrespectful enough to other Smashers that didn't do anything to do them. The Melee matches are 303 times better to watch, but that doesn't mean Brawl doesn't also deserve to have their matches up on display because they paid the same venue and entry fee you guys did. There is such a thing called having an opinion but still respecting others, and many people in both communities don't understand this.
