genesis was ****

all the fox players who didnt go are homoees

(cept raynex)
Naw man, I ain't homo.

Yo man. I feel so bad for you because of your bracket. So many boring/annoying matchups to play (and then there's mango).

What happened vs shroomed man? I didn't get to see it, so I just want to hear your thoughts/experience on it.

Nah he's still a homo for letting me rep Canada all by myself. I had barely any support, =(.. it was tough to fight.
good **** beating lucky man.

oh yeah, I heard you beat him. Congrats man!

I also saw your set with axe. That was tight! But I jumped up when you won. I was really happy for you.

Also, when those vids come out vs shroomed. I'll definitely help out with some critiquing. I love the mindset as well. That's some modesty you get there.

Just a question from someone whose smash career started with Brawl, not Melee. I know that PS has quite the low ceiling, but besides that, why do spacies take that stage so "seriously," as I've heard it put? I'm intending to second Fox, and it's something I need to be very aware of.

Fox benefits from the low ceiling, and the transformations favor him strongly. They screw with everyone else's movement and combo game, but not his, plus they often have vertical walls.

It's basically a stage made for Fox and every Fox player CPs there if given the choice even when it's sometimes not the best stage (I see hella Foxes CP Falcon there and it's just worse than Yoshi's / FoD most of the time because you take away a lot of space for Falcon to dashdance but who cares gotta CP to FOX MCCLOUD STADIUM AAAAAWWWWW YEAH)

You can't even angle on the sides so your recovery gets ****ed a lot too ~_~

Um so no.. lol, Learn 2 space. That just means if Fox never attacks, he can't win any matchup. Don't be stupid.
Please elaborate, i didn't understand that at all. I'm probably too stupid.

I won't deny the fact that a good Ganondorf can beat a good Fox with insane 4-hit combos, but with 2 somewhat equal players, i feel that the Fox should always win because he's a fast fuzzy-wuzzy that's good at anti-zoning, and Ganondorf is a slow meat-mountain with very limited options.

This is some serious Fox discussion going on right now, dammmm. Foxes don't always win, they will win more often than I could but I can still win if I play properly.

So in order to sum this up:
Me: Fox needs be semi-stupid compared to his opponent in order to lose to Ganondorf
Kage: No! Learn to space! What you are saying is if Fox never attacks, he can never win! (???)
Me: I didn't understand that, Fox just seems so much better that he should never lose if the players are equal (hence he needs to run into Ganondorf's ****)
Sinji: blubber blabber blah blah blab blub
Rest of the thread: /troll

But seriously Kage, do you really feel like Fox can lose to Ganondorf when they play equally smart? I think the reason Fox mains feel so stupid when they lose to G. is because they were, infact, playing very stupid (relative to their opponent).

there's too many factors of "playing smart " to simply say fox should always beat ganon..you can play the matchup right and all but no1 can do everything right, and with ganon's combo game vs spacies it evens out alot. sure in THEORY bros, a fox will never lose the matchup, but even mango gets hit by kage ganon vs fox, pretty sure everyone below mango's level is gonna get hit 10x more often :p

don't get me wrong the matchup is probably a bit rough for ganon, but the fact that every human make errors [and lots in this game, you just have to react/notice them quickly] helps him out alot.

It's more like you don't have to really aggro Ganon ... just play safe, make him approach with lasers or intrude on his space a bit, then abuse mobility to punish all of his approaches

Fox doesn't really need to commit to anything vs Ganon, so if you're getting stuffed by Fair then you're committing at the wrong times <_<

IMO you can really just like, semi react to Ganon jumping with a running Nair and hit him before his Fair comes out ... Ganon is pretty mad slow
Easier done with Falcon though, long legged Falcon Nair FTW
