And let me tell you how appreciative I am that you run Support.I can understand if it's one or two people using assassin and moving. Even if there is only one kid corner camping with that perk, I can handle it, since he's usually dumb enough that he goes back to the same corner. One grenade/C4 later, he's toast. If he's moving around, I'm attentive enough to see him.
The REAL problem arises when the majority of a team, or, as I have seen of late, the ENTIRETY of a team is comprised of assassin users, moving or not. In case nobody noticed, as a clan we (somewhat) balance out our killstreaks. We have specialist users, we have assault users with varied killstreaks.
And, of course, the support users. AKA me.
Sure, sure, say I don't deserve my killstreaks all you want. Fact of the matter is, I've never killed anyone with a support killstreak (not that I know of). I ONLY run UAV support. It's my job to "analyze the enemy shield", duh. As quirky as it may be, ask any one of the guys I play with. It's essential that at least one person is refreshing that radar. And it's me. Problem? Yes.
I want to see dots on that UAV sweep. Unfortunately, I don't. Kids are scared ****less of that sweep, and put on assassin. Well, there's two of my point streaks taken away. How about CUAV and EMP? Nope, can't use those either. Well, there's one option left to make people show up on the radar. The recon drone.
I have one pointstreak to make people show on the radar. ONE. BALANCE.
I wouldn't be so mad if Adv UAV and EMP affected assassin users, simply because they are higher point streaks (if you're on full specialist mode, they shouldn't affect you. EDIT: maybe they still should.). But I am down to one option to hunt these kids, and getting to that 12 point streak is difficult, let alone against a full team of assassin users.
In conclusion, assassin protects you from too many damn things. I become a wet rag when we play against stealth clowns. I AM THE UAV. And when I am useless, the UAV is useless.
I usually run Support myself, but lately, I've been more aggressive, trying to run Assault or Specialist (just how I feel this prestige, I dunno).
Recon Drone is great, as is the Recon Perk (flash bangs and Recon Pro all day, baby). But Assassin is too OP in the sense of everyone on the team running it. EMP immunity is too WTFBBQ.
BLIND-EYE PRO should get C-UAV immunity. And MAYBE EMP immunity.
But splitting all the stealth into one tier, and works for me.
I plan to be on tonight guys.
