I’m playing the first God of War and I randomly remembered David Jaffe’s Metroid Dread “beef”. A lot of people used Jaffe’s really idiotic reasoning for hating Dread to bash God of War as a shallow experience but the thing is, those games (or at least the first one) have a lot of more deep, subtle puzzles/design that’s not explicitly told to you, and Jaffe doesnt like the modern games where puzzles are more straightforward . Judging by Jaffe’s Metroid Dread gameplay he’d probably get stuck a lot in God of War if he didn’t design the thing.
It guess the point is, that situation didn’t really follow the nintendo good playstation bad team sports narrative people ascribed to it, it’s kinda nostly just that David Jaffe sucks lmao. There’s also the possibility he didn’t design as much of God of War as he gets credit for but it’s not really easy to speculate on that without much knowledge.

I had a dream I was watching a random episode of the Batman animated series in theatres. I remember Bizarro being there for some reason and also the Joker wore Waluigi’s hat.
The screen kept shrinking and shrinking and my seat moved around.I also got absolutely terrified by the theatre in my dream and I don’t know why.

In my playthroughs of the classic final fantasy games one thing I found interesting was how classic fantasy stuff like elves, dwarves, etc are implemented. I think final fantasy 5 has my favorite way of doing it. It’s a more grounded story at first but suddenly you go to another world and it’s even weirder than previous games. There’s werewolf villages, talking turtles, and people being sealed into tries.

I love how at least three different game series (Yakuza, Twisted Metal, Metal Gear and probably plenty of others) decided to adopt a comic book art style for their PSP entries’ cutscenes. It makes the console feel like it has its own identity.
So, I’m continuing to colour my one piece volumes and I just got to the little garden arc. Given the fact this arc has lush jungles and actual giants it might take a lot longer to colour than other parts of the series. -
