It’s really weird how there’s a borderline moral panic about losing the original meaning of “literally” when it’s just normal sarcasm/exaggeration.

Yeah I don’t think the whole Emio marketing was a good move on Nintendo’s part. It just inadvertently set our expectations higher than what they actually revealed, as funny as this is going to be to look back on.
It’s cool that the supergirl movie actually shows inside the phantom zone but hilarious that there’s a way to exit it and it’s “just go through this cliff thing and you’re fine” that nobody bothered to try and go through

I bought that manga that’s a collection of one piece chapters redrawn by Boichi and i genuinely can’t look at the nami vs kalifa fight too much because the way he draws female characters is so awful
I think it’s interesting that certain parts of the middle earth books aren’t public domain but so many people use them anyways that they’re basically public domain anyways. I’m not even talking about concepts, actual things made up by the books. Mithril was 100% nade up by Tolkien but other fantasy stories will use the word anyway that there’s no way they could get away with a copyright infringement argument. Same with some original D&D creatures.
Ok finished Mega Man 1.
The final boss being underwhelming and absolute nose dive in quality that happens in the Wily Fortress are probably my least favorite parts of the game. At least the boss rush thing somewhat mitigates that first point.
Capcom and SNK both seem to love making collections now so that gives me some hope of a capcom vs snk collection eventually happening

Replaying the first NES Mega Man. What stands out to me is that this is one of the few platformers of the era that really expects you to take a lot of hits. It’s super forgiving with health pick ups and power refills and I really like that the platforming aspect of an action platformer is so much in focus compared to something like Castlevania.
I like how Smash just casually has a rock remix from a pinball spin-off as their only version of Samus (one of their original 8 fighters)’s most iconic theme song. Genuinely being positive here.

One thing I’ve heard people say when they try to gaslight me into believing Fahrenheit is better for everyday use than Celcius is that it makes more sense that 0 degrees is really cold instead of just kind of cold and then I look it up and 0 degrees Fahrenheit is barely even that cold at all.

Apollo Justice from ace attorney is a genuinely really good character but he’s been completely screwed over by his trilogy’s lack of direction. His backstory is really needlessly confusing for example -
